This week s netball match was against Charlestown. We passed, moved and scored our way to victory! The final score was Tywardreath 6, Charlestown 4. Hurray! Ellie was team captain and every played very well. Well done! Reporter: Ellie Crompton. Yr3/4 match: The team s captain, Eden Riches, lead the team to victory with a tremendous 3-1 win against Charlestown! The players were Harry Blows, George Randles, Eden Riches, Finley Tardivel, Sennen Netherton, David Stephens, Ronnie Perren, Finn Bulley, Harvey McLaughlin and Alex Davison. The amazing goal scorers were George (2) and Harry (1), but all of the players were ace! But no one could do it without Mr Gilbert, he really is a super star! Reporters: Finley and Alex. Yr5/6 match: Tywardreath played against Charlestown and won 1-0. Everyone played brilliantly. Thanks to jack for stepping up in goal for us. He made some amazing saves and kept us in the game. The team players were Harry Kirwan, Bailey Kitts, Joel Patton, Peter Murdoch, Freddy Rolls, Jack Beach, Adam Stephens, Henry Blackshire and Gabriel Taylor. Henry Blackshire toe-punted over the top, Harry took a great touch and hit the post and went in and the netball players all cheered! WINNERS! Reporters: Harry and Adam

On Wednesday a man named Richard came in to tell year 5 & 6 about bullying. He told us how to deal with the bullies. He told us about the four types of bulling: cyber, physical, verbal and social. The golden rule was Speak Out and Tell Someone! You should not be the bully because if you got bullied you wouldn t like it so don t do it to others! Reporters: Emmie and Josh. We had a go at the toothpaste challenge. The children had to squeeze out toothpaste onto a race track. Then other children had to try and get the toothpaste back in the tube. This was to show that once unkind words/actions had been used, it was impossible to take it back!

The Challenge has been set. Are you an Extreme Reader? Books don t need electricity. We can read them anywhere and everywhere! Think about different, exciting, fun and SAFE places you can enjoy a book. Please could photographs have the child s name, class and extreme place written on the back. Have Fun Extreme Reading! An exciting book prize will be given to the best entries from: EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Entries to Miss Drewett by 3 rd March. We are inviting you ALL to take the Tywardreath Extreme Reading Challenge! Thursday 2nd March Donations welcomed for the world book To celebrate World Book Day we are inviting you all to dress up as your favourite book character!
