The Red Bulls won with a game-winner from Bradley Wright-Phillips. New York evened the game after a Carlos Rivas goal with some help from Orlando defender Leo Pereira, who put the ball in the back of his own net after a Tyler Adams cross. Sean Davis provided a fitting capper for Jesse Marsch s team with a beautiful curler that got past the diving arms of Joe Bendik. CLUB CONNECTIONS New York Red Bull center back Aurelien Collin has familiarity with the upcoming opponent. Collin was a starter for Orlando City in 2015, playing in 28 matches and starting in 27. He then played two games in 2016 before he was traded to New York. Orlando DP Sacha Kljestan not only played for New York for three seasons, but donned the team s captain s armband during the 2017 season. New York s recent acquisitions Carlos Rivas and Tommy Redding both played at Orlando City SC from 2015 to 2017. Rivas and Orlando s Crisitan Higuita were teammates at Colombia s Deportivo Cali during the 2014 season. Head coach Jesse Marsch and assistant coach Chris Armas were teammates with Orlando assistant coach Charles CJ Brown on the Chicago Fire from the club s inaugural season in 1998 to 2005. 2018 TEAM LEADERS NEW YORK RED BULLS Goals: Bradley Wright-Phillips (3) Assists: Bezecourt/Davis (2) Shots: Carlos Rivas (8) Shots On Goal: Carlos Rivas (6) Game-Winning Goals: Mines/Muyl (1) Fouls Suffered: Bezcourt (4) Fouls Committed: Lade/Rivas (4) Cautions: Four Tied (1) Ejections: None (-) Goals Against Average: Luis Robles (0.33) Wins: Luis Robles (2) Shutouts: Luis Robles (2) Saves: Luis Robles (7) ORLANDO CITY SC Goals: Pinho/Yotun (1) Assists: Mearm/Spector (1) Shots: Justin Meram (12) Shots On Goal: Three Tied (2) Game-Winning Goals: None (-) Fouls Suffered: Yoshimar Yotun (9) Fouls Committed: Yoshimar Yotun (7) Cautions: Richie Laryea (2) Ejections: PC Giro (1) Goals Against Average: Joseph Bendik (1.67) Wins: None (-) Shutouts: None (-) Saves: Joseph Bendik (10) 2 2

Tyler Adams received his third-straight call up to the senior U.S. Men s National Team. Kemar Lawrence joined Jamaica and defenders Fidel Escobar and Michael Amir Murillo joined Panama. Homegrown midfielder Tyler Adams earned his third call up to the USMNT since November, previously being called up for international friendlies against Portgual (11/14) and the 2018 January camp that culminated in a match against Bosnia and Herzegovina (1/28). The USMNT will face Paraguay on March 27 at Sahlen s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in North Carolina (8 PM ET). The 19-year-old Wappingers Falls, New York, native continues to take steps towards becoming a regular with the USMNT, having started and played the full 90 in the last two matches. Escobar and Murillo join a Panama side preparing for the 2018 World Cup with an international friendly against Denmark in Denmark on March 22, and versus Switzerland in Switzerland on March 27. Both defenders have combined for 39 caps and two goals for the national team since 2015, and both were regulars during World Cup qualification. The Panamanian defenders both started and played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 loss to Denmark. In three years, Marsch has led the team to the 2015 Supporters Shield, three-straight MLS playoff appearances, 2017 U.S. Open Cup final and a quarterfinal appearance of the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League. Marsch was named MLS Coach of the Year in 2015 after his team posted an 18-10-6 record, tied for best overall with FC Dallas, and a league-best +19 goal differential. The 18 wins set a new franchise record, as did 12 wins at home, and 60 points earned. Marsch s side led MLS in scoring in 2015 with 62 goals, and was only shut out twice during the regular season. The Red Bulls also allowed the fewest goals in the Eastern Conference. Before joining the Red Bulls, Marsch was the head coach of the Montreal Impact during the club s inaugural season in 2012. Marsch led the Impact to 12 wins in the club s first season, the most wins by an expansion club since 1998, when the Chicago Fire, with Marsch and current assistant Chris Armas in the midfield, took the league by storm, winning the 1998 MLS Cup and 1998 U.S. Open Cup. Marsch also has experience coaching with the US Men s National Team, serving as Bob Bradley s assistant for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2011 Gold Cup. The USMNT advanced to the knockout round in the 2010 FIFA World Cup and to the tournament final in the 2011 Gold Cup. Marsch opened his tenure with a seven-game unbeaten streak, the longest in MLS that season. New York spent the entire season at or near the top of the Eastern Conference standings, and went 14-5-1 over the last 20 games on the run to the Supporters Shield. Marsch s side was also tough on the road, posting the second-most road wins in MLS with a 6-7-4 record, scoring the most road goals (27) and finishing as the only team in MLS with a positive road goal differential. In 2016, Marsch s side started slow, opening the season with a 1-6-0 run. Despite the poor start, the club went on a 20-game unbeaten run to end the regular season, spanning 16 MLS matches and all four group stage games of the CONCACAF Champions League. The Red Bulls finished 16-9-9, again the best record in the Eastern Conference. During the 2017 season, Marsch guided New York in three different competitions, playing in the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals, reaching the U.S. Open Cup final and appearing in the MLS playoffs for the third consecutive season. The Red Bulls finished sixth in Eastern Conference with a 14-12-8 mark. Marsch enters his fourth season with as the franchise s leader with 48 regular-season wins, surpassing both Hans Backe and Octavio Zambrano last season, who each have 41. The Racine, Wisconsin native enjoyed an impressive playing career as well, winning three MLS Cups and four US Open Cup Championships during 14 years in the league with D.C. United, Chicago Fire and Chivas USA. Marsch, an MLS original, made 321 appearances in 14 seasons, scoring 31 goals and 40 assists. He remains among the all-time leaders in Chicago Fire history, sixth all-time in appearances (200), starts (182), and minutes played (16,300). His 19 goals for the Fire are the ninth most in club history, and his 29 assists rank seventh amongst all Chicago players. During his playing days, Marsch played for four Coaches of the Year in Bruce Arena (1997 D.C. United), Bob Bradley (1998 Chicago Fire), Dave Sarachan (2003 Chicago Fire) and Preki (2007 Chivas USA). Along with a successful career in MLS, Marsch earned two Caps with the U.S. Men s National Team. In college, Marsch was a two-year captain at Princeton University, a two-time first team All-Ivy League member and a first team All-American in 1995. Marsch most recently served as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, helping the Tigers to a 2014 Ivy League Championship. 16 16
