Teams are to consist of 3 riders made up of one rider Under 18 years of age and 1 rider Over 50 Years of age. The third rider can be any age. Heights to be jumped are 1.00m, 1.10m and 1.20m. Each rider in the team must nominate the height they will be jumping. Ie the Over 50 year old can nominate to jump the 1.20m, Under 18 year old the 1.10 and other rider the 1.00m (or change around to suit the team). After the first round has been completed by all riders, if there is an equality of faults, each team will select one of their members to compete in the jump off relevant to the height that rider jumped in the first round. GRAND VALLEY SHOWJUMPING CLASSIC 2012 Rules and Regulations 1. LIABILITY Neither the committee, nor any of the staff shall be in anyway liable for accident, injury, damage, loss or any matter that may happen for any causes or circumstances whatsoever to exhibitors, competitors, or members or their agents or to anyone on the grounds or to any animal or article exhibited or to any property brought onto the grounds or for any other loss, claim, matter, circumstances or event whatsoever in connection with or arising out of or understood to be the Yarra Valley Showjumping Classic or any journey to or from the event. 2. ALL riders and owners of horses competing in Official Classes must be current financial members of the EFA. Riders competing in Unofficial Classes must be members of either the EFA, PCAV or ARC an additional cost for insurance will apply on the day. 3. ALL horses nominated must hold current registration and grading papers from the Equestrian Federation of Australia. Grading shall be in accordance with the National Grading system. 4. Dress standard as per EFA regulation. 5. The committee reserves the right at their absolute discretion to alter or amend any of the conditions, regulations, or any aspect of the event as they see fit. 6. The committee reserves the right to refuse entries and also the right to swab horses. 7. DOGS. Dogs to be restrained at all times. 8. SCRATCHINGS - 75% of entry fee will be refunded if veterinary or medical certificate is produced. 9. OBJECTIONS: Objections addressed to the Ground Jury must be lodged in writing accompanied by a deposit of A$25.00 within the following time limit- (a) Objections against eligibility to a competitor or horse not later than one hour before the start of the competition. (b) Objections to an obstacle or to the course or the length or the plan of the course immediately after the inspection of the course and before the start of the competition. (c) Objections concerning irregularities or incidents during the competition as soon as possible after the end of the competition and not later than half an hour after the announcements of the results. (d) The period of jurisdiction of the Ground Duty extends from 1 hour before the start of competition until half and hour after the announcement of the final results for which the Ground Jury have been appointed. (e) The appeal committee shall deal with appeals against decisions of the Ground Jury with objections referred to it and with all cases of infringement to the FEI regulations and rules for which the Ground Jury are not responsible. All appeals must be in writing accompanied by A$25.00. (f) The federation extends no responsibility for the loss or damage to any exhibit. (g) The committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry or to vary conditions to any Class, to cancel any event or class without assigning any reason. ---ooo---
