RULES BOOK 2014 RULES BOARD 2014 Barry Arbeider Dorsey Napier Rose Gillespie Neil Smith www.worldcdf.com

FOREWORD Dear Dancers, The WorldCDF Rules Board would like to take this opportunity to present to you the new WorldCDF Rules Book 2014 As you all know, in 2014 the WorldCDF is welcoming a brand new Line Dance Division the MODERN LINE DIVISION. The WorldCDF General Council recently met during Worlds and decided to bring some important changes to the Modern Line division. The main changes are: 1. The Funky dance is re-instated in Classic Line and Showcase 2. Modern Line will now have 2 skill levels (not 4) 3. Men and Women will compete against each other (as we already do in Renegade) 4. The age divisions have been adapted to meet the expectations of a larger group of dancers To examine how this division will evolve, the WorldCDF General Council decided that this year, 2014, will be a TRIAL year. After this year, the Modern Line Division will be re-evaluated by the WorldCDF General Council. There are other changes in this updated Rules Book 2014, so please have a close look at the addendum and make sure you are well informed! The rules board did everything possible to clarify the rules and where possible we have tried to explain the intention behind the rule. If on reading any rule you find that you are unsure or just want clarification of your interpretation, please do not hesitate to contact the rules board at: rulesboard@worldcdf.com for a complete explanation. Again, to all of our WCDF members, please send the rules board all of your suggestions, tips and ideas for any future rule changes. The rules board is always open to suggestions and we appreciate any and all feedback that we might receive.
