The event is free so please come on by and have some fun. Testing will be taking place the week on May 19 th. Just like the STAR testing last year, Magruder will be on a special schedule. In order to do their best, students should come to school well rested and have a good breakfast. SCHEDULING CHANGES FOR TESTING WEEK: Monday, May 19 th is an early out day (1:20pm). Tuesday, May 20 th will be a regular school day (8:10 am 2:57 pm) NO late start. Wednesday Friday, normal bell schedule. Lastly, the weather is getting warm and it s been very tempting for some students to challenge the dress code. I ve included those guidelines in this eblast as a reminder. You will be hearing more about this in the next few eblasts. This year marks a transition from the California State Standardized Testing to a new more comprehensive Smarter Balance testing. The new system will be given on computers using a secure testing site and browser. The test allows for more varied type of questions than the old bubble sheet forms. You can learn more and look at some sample test questions by clicking here. Student Safety Please Slow Down your Vehicles and Watch for Students Making sure our students get to school and back home is of the utmost importance to you and Magruder. PLEASE, when driving slow down your vehicle and watch for students. As much as we try to teach them, students have been known dart out into traffic or cross at inappropriate spots along the street. We are asking all drivers please be aware and cautious.
