As another month goes by we can start to turn our attention towards fall and hopefully some cooler weather. August was an eventful month around the lodge. Although hampered by the hot weather, the yard sale, Luau and picnic went well. I can t possibly name everyone that volunteered their time, energy and resources to benefit the lodge and the fraternity. All I can say is THANK YOU!!! You know who you are. I also want to say GREAT JOB to Don Rayne for passing the administration inspection with flying colors. LETS KEEP THIS GOING. I feel we are going in the right direction. Sincerely, J. White MOTM Freddy Ellingsworth WOTM Carol Echenbrech Gov. Jason White and Jr. Gov. Charlie Morgan working on basement trying to improve the conditions and for more storage space.
Women of the Moose Camden-Wyoming Chapter 1546 Coworker News September 2016 Our final Family Day Picnic is here. The last Family Day Picnic of the season will be on Sunday, September 18, 2016. For the last time this year - we are asking for donations of CAKES & GOODIES - and of course - more CAKES & GOODIES for the Cakewheel. Each donation of a cake or goodie will be entered for a chance to win a free Sunday Breakfast for two in the Lodge Dining Room. Candy Covey won the breakfast at the July Family Day Picnic. Volunteers are needed to help run the Cakewheel and to assist serving food at the Picnic. With the cooler weather we are hoping for a large turn out, so please plan to join us! Carol Eckenbrecht and I would like to thank everyone that helped with the Higher Degree Committee s Shrimp & Clam night Jenn Wilson, Buster, Frank Franzoni and Mike Brogan for all your help cooking, serving and cleaning up afterwards! Thank you to Bill & Karen Carnivale for helping with the 50/50 and the great tunes. Most of the dancers got a late start so Bill stayed & played much longer than was scheduled. To my knowledge, a good time was had by all. I am already hearing clamors for next year s event to make sure everyone gets enough notice. The Lodge will be hosting a TAILGATE PARTY to celebrate the opening day of FOOTBALL. The party begins on Sunday, September 11, from 1-7pm in the picnic area. The available menu items include Italian Sausage, Kielbasa, Hot Dogs, Sauerkraut and more. Cash bar plus games - horseshoes, corn-hole, 50/50 and other games. The lodge will also be raffling off another 50 TV! You do not have to be present to win The winner will be pulled towards the end of the party. So get your tickets NOW!!! To wrap up the month, the Lodge & Chapter will be hosting a dinner to honor all of our Past Governors and Past Sr Regents on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Ballroom. Master Chefs Mike Brogan and Charlie Parker will be preparing their fabulous Chicken Marsala dinner!! If you ve never had it you don t want to miss this event! Music provided by Bill Carnivale. Dancing is optional. Tickets are available at the bar $10.00 per person / $12 per couple. The September Chapter Development meeting is for the Higher Degree / Star Recorder Committee. Our chairman is Carol Eckenbrecht. The meeting is on Thursday, September 8, at 7:00 pm at the lodge. Our monthly Business Meeting is Thursday, September 22, at 7:00 pm. All co-workers in good standing are invited and encouraged to attend both meetings. Co-workers of the month are Kathie Sweetman and Jenn Wilson. Kathie helped serve food at the family day picnics in June and July when it was really really hot! Jenn Wilson helped with July Family Day Picnic, making tickets for our many events and assisted with the Shrimp & Clam Night. We appreciate all your help!! The end of September brings Race Weekend into town Friday, September 30 Sunday, October 2. We are requesting volunteers both men & women to help the Lodge and Chapter work the elevators for the races on Saturday and Sunday. Volunteer for 1 day or for both! Please see Don or Sandy Rayne for more information and/or to volunteer to help. Remember to check the Bulletin Board for important information and dates and complete the volunteer form & deposit it in the Women s Office for submission to Moose International. Fraternally yours, Bobbi Brogan Senior Regent
