Prestatyn Lawn Tennis Club 2015 Prestatyn Tennis Club is affiliated to Tennis Wales and has one of the largest memberships of any club in the Region. It is also the venue for The North Wales Open Tournament, The Clwyd Junior Tournament and The Graham Cole American Tournament. The Club has 5 all-weather courts (2 acrylic and 3 porous tar-macadam) all to top LTA recommended specifications, the latter 3 being equipped with floodlighting. All ages and standards of play are catered for and professional coaching is available. Senior Club Nights are on Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. throughout the year when members generally expect others to be present and available to play so providing an excellent opportunity for newcomers to meet other Members. The Club has a strong Junior Section. Coaching Sessions are run specifically for Junior Members between the hours of 4.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. These follow the LTA traffic light system for age ranges from the very young to eighteen years. Professional Tennis Coaching is available to both Senior and Junior Members and follows the LTA regime. Promising juniors are nominated for training at The North Wales Tennis Centre in Wrexham. There will be a Junior Club Morning on Saturdays age 8yrs and over.10.00am -noon Opportunities for competitive play, at inter-club level, are provided by the Club fielding Mens Ladies, Mixed and Junior Teams. The Club has a considerable history of success in local leagues and competitions. The Graham Cole Tournament is held annually in memory of a Prestatyn Player who sadly passed away 30 years ago whilst playing for the Club in a match against Brymbo LTC. The Tournament is an American Tournament and is so designed that all Club Members, Senior and Junior, can play against Members of other Clubs for a cup donated in Graham s memory. The Clubhouse contains recently refurbished shower / toilet accommodation, a licensed bar, a lounge and a kitchen. Details of The club s principal officers are contained in this document together with a programme of events for this year. Further social events and fund raising activities will be announced throughout the season.

Lost tag replacements will be charged for; Code of Conduct The attention of members, particularly juniors, is drawn to the code of conduct contained in this document. All members are expected to abide by this Code; Club Teams: Teams are entered in The Mens National Cub League, The North Wales Mens Ladies and Mixed Club Shields, The Mens and Ladies Mid Week Leagues. Use of Facilities Code of Conduct 1) Seniors: Club Nights on Mondays and Thursdays, 6.30 p.m. onwards. Juniors to be arranged by Coaches / Junior Organisers; 2) After 6.30 p.m. on Senior Club Nights juniors over the age of 12 may only be allowed on court at the discretion of the senior members playing; 3) Junior Members are required to leave the site of the Tennis Club by dusk unless there is Senior Member supervision; 4) Senior members have priority on the top two courts at all times; 5) Consideration must be shown to other players and members of the public at all times: There will not be: Bad language; Shouting; No running across or at the rear of courts during play; No food, chewing gum, canned drinks or mobile phones are to be taken onto the courts at any time; 6) Correct tennis shoes will always be worn. There will be no black soled shoes; 7) No general leisure wear will be permitted and proper tennis attire will be worn at all times on court; 8) Whilst waiting to play Members and Visitors are expected to maintain proper standards of behaviour, particularly: No bicycle riding; No skating or scootering; No boisterous behaviour and No ball games on the car park. 9) Keys to the Clubhouse must only be used by Senior Members and the upper acrylic courts. Juniors must not be given unsupervised access. 10) The Club facilities are only available to Members, Paying visitors and bona fide guests; 11) The Club Members have to comply with the lease details of which are available from The Secretary. 12) Any complaints shall be made to The Honorary Secretary for consideration by the Management Committee. Non-compliance with the above code of Conduct may result in suspension of playing facilities and disciplinary action under the Club Rules.
