Watch for more information to come available soon through School Cash Online CHRISTMAS SHOEBOXES Our school donated 38 shoeboxes!! Thank you so much for your generosity. I will update you in the next newsletter when I hear what country the boxes were sent to. SAFE ARRIVAL FOR WALKERS With winter weather comes bus cancellations!! This is just a reminder to parents of students who normally walk to school. As you child does not take a bus, we do require a phone call for safe arrival program if they are staying home on a snow day. Everyone has been so cooperative at remembering to call when your child will be late or absent. I appreciate your support in helping us ensure your child is safe and accounted for every day. Students and staff enjoyed a delicious Fall Harvest Dinner on November 15. A Huge THANK YOU to Linda Folmer for organizing and shopping. Exceldor Foods for donating turkeys. Krista Graf for picking them up. Evelyn Walter for making the dressing. Holm Farms who donated potatoes. Mary Immaculate Church for the use of their kitchen. Thank you to those who donated money or delicious desserts, and to all those who volunteered their time with preparation, serving and clean up. A lot of hands put together a wonderful meal we are very grateful and we LOVED IT!!! (photos on next page)

Santa Claus Brunch at the Cargill Community Centre Sunday, December 2 from 9:30 11:30 am Adults: $10.00 Child (5-10): $5.00 4 and under are free SANTA will see you there! The students of Mary Immaculate School would like to invite interested community members to join with them as they carol through the hamlet of Chepstow on December 20th at 1:00 p.m. We will be walking from the school to our first stop, singing at the front of the church. We will continue down and around John Crescent coming back out to the main street where we will cross and head down to the Chepstow Inn using the sidewalk. Upon our return back to the school, we wish to extend an invitation to our wonderful community to join us back in the gym at approximately 1:30-1:45 to enjoy some hot chocolate and Christmas cupcakes.

Mental Health Champions have arranged for a Therapy Dog to visit all classrooms at the end of the month. I m sure this will be an exciting visit for all. Mrs. Stanley is collecting new warm items for the library Christmas tree (socks, hats, mittens, gloves and scarves) which will be given to those less fortunate than us -- if someone would like to make a donation. It will be warmly appreciated! Chess Round Robin will commence after the Christmas break in preparation for the Board Wide Chess Tournament in February. Chess players might want to find time over the holidays to hone their skills. On November 7th eight grade six students participated in Spirit in Motion training. These students will be leading games and activities throughout the year for primary students, students in grade one to three, during recesses. They have a lot of fun activities planned for December. Students listen to the daily announcements to learn more! Found An Audiovox flip phone was found on the yard. Please contact the office to identify if it belongs to you.
