Messages From ER Beth: I hope that you have been enjoying the marvelous spring weather thus far and are counting down to your summer vacation. On May 20th, the Little Neck Clam Bake was held with many members in attendance to enjoy the tasty mollusks and other items from the Upper Deck Grill. A thank you goes out to all who helped put the event together. We look forward to many more events like this that bring us together for a fun time. I welcome our new members Lena Roberts, Dr. John Carozza, Simon Harby, Claude & Michelle Truesdell, and Steve Bond initiated on May 2 nd. I thank our fellow Elks Tony Specchio for organizing a wonderful Memorial Day Ceremony in the Village of Watkins Glen, and Steve Matteson who represented the Lodge by holding the Elks flag during the ceremony. It was nice to see other community organizations and a large, patriotic audience come together to pay tribute to those that gave all. As we move into the summer months, I hope that you will make plans to enjoy a beverage (or two) in the Grill. We also have a great patio and a lovely view of the lake to our advantage. It s a perfect spot to enjoy the 24 th Annual Waterfront Festival & Cardboard Boat Regatta, particularly the Friday night Harbor Lights event on June 16 th. Then, come back on Saturday to watch those crazy cardboard boats and the phenomenal crowd from a comfortable distance. Particularly entertaining will be watching the boats leave the harbor and attempt to make it down to the Tiki Bar! When you do stop in, please remember to help support the Lodge by purchasing a raffle ticket for the combination charcoal smoker/grill and gas grill bearing several bottles of liquor. The drawing will be held on July 1 st, just in time for your Independence Day celebration and picnic. I would like to wish all the golf teams that signed up for the upcoming, annual Lee Smith Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, June 9 th the best of luck. Special thanks to Foot Field for organizing this wonderful event! The Flag Day Observation will commence at 10:45 AM - the start of the tournament. I am hopeful that the weather will cooperate and am certain that it will be enjoyed by all. I can't wait to hear the results! I would also like to congratulate to our Elks families with recent college graduates and/or soon-to-be high school graduates. I wish you all the best as your families enter the next chapter. And, happy Father s Day to all you dads!

From the House Committee: The ladies room has received a well-deserved (needed) renovation. We thank all involved! We still have openings on the House Committee. House Committee meetings take place on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM. Feel free to join us if you think that you might be interested in becoming a member. We d love to hear your ideas and see if we can put them into action. The House Committee provides meeting minutes at the Lodge website. Click here to go to the page. From the Grill Manager: The Grill of Cheer tickets are available for the drawing on July 1 st. We need help selling tickets. Please contact Barney or Brian. This could be yours There will be a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, July 1 st from 11.00 AM until sold out. Prices: Dinners $9.00, halves for $6.00.

From Erick & Rob: The Upper Deck Grill will be opening on Saturday, June 3 rd with the hours of 4 PM to 9 PM. Anyone desiring to be added to the Snooze email list should provide their email address to Fred Hall.
