The First Tee of Green Valley Ranch is seeking volunteers to assist our coaches with classes, Friday Play days as well as other opportunities during the 2019 Season. Why Volunteer? To make a difference in the lives of young people! Share a smile with a child. Help inspire a young person. Teach valuable life skills. Watch confidence grow. Witness a participant exceed his/her expectations. What does it take? Desire. Our mentors have a desire to spend time with young people. Commitment. The First Tee of Green Valley Ranch asks that volunteers make a commitment to be available on a consistent basis. Volunteering for an extended period gives you an opportunity to witness, firsthand, increased levels of confidence, transformations of golf swings, and participants learning valuable life skills. Criminal Background Check. In an effort to provide a safe environment for the youth in our program, The First Tee of Green Valley Ranch requires all of its volunteers to undergo a criminal background investigation. Training. Volunteers are required to attend a training session each year. The training will go over the basics of our program enabling you, to answer general questions from parents. The sessions will also provide an overview of the code of conduct the students in the program are expected to follow When can I Volunteer? Programming runs from April to October. Instructional classes are offered throughout the week and a Friday Play Day is held each week. FRIDAY PLAY DAY SIGN UP Name: FIRST LAST The First Tee of Green Valley Ranch members have the opportunity to play the Par-3 Course on Friday afternoons throughout the year. These play days are meant to encourage practice and the development of relationships between fellow participants as well as our volunteers. We are requiring that each group of three kids plays with a volunteer, who, by interacting and playing golf with these participants, will be able to evaluate the valuable life skills being taught in The First Tee program. Volunteering also gives you an opportunity to practice your short game and have a little fun on a Friday afternoon! Listed below are the Fridays in which there is a Play Day.
