Rules: 2017 IJF Rules will govern, except (1) no armlocks will be allowed in the 13-14 divisions (2) matside coaching will be allowed in all divisions and (3) players will be allowed to change gis to conform to the rules, without being penalized. Modified Double Elimination for all pools except 3 & 4 player pools will fight Round Robin. No chokes for 12 and under. No armbars for ANY novice categories. Current IJF medical rules (no examination except for blood or grave injury) will apply to all divisions. All female contestants are required to wear a plain white tee shirt or leotard to compete! All contestants, including juniors must bring at least one white gi. A player called to white side must wear a white gi, or forfeit- no exceptions. Blue judo gis are to be worn on blue side ONLY, but are not required. Players may bring their own blue belt to be worn instead. Tournament Director(s) reserve the right to make changes as needed. Match Times: Co-ed Juniors 5 and 6 yrs: 2 minutes/2 minute Golden Score Juniors 7-14. I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the USA Judo/United States Judo, Inc., United States Judo Association, Inc., United States Judo Federation, Inc., Hudson Judo Yudanshakai, Monsignor Farrell High School, Kokushiaki Judo Academy, Bushido Dojo of Staten Island, any Medical & Emergency Services Company and Individuals, together with their affiliated clubs, their respective administrators, directors, officers, agents, coaches, and other employees or volunteers of the organization, event officials, medical personnel, other participants, their parents, legal guardians, supervisors and coaches, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners, lessors, and lessees of premises used in conducting the event, all of whom are hereinafter referred to as "Releasees", from any and all litigation expenses, attorney fees, loss, liability, damage or costs on account of injury, illness, disease, including permanent disability and death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligent acts or omissions of the Releasees or otherwise to the fullest extent permitted by law.
