Latin American & Caribbean Regional Conference of the International Association of Women Judges 12-13 September 2017 The Mexico Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges hosted the Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Conference in Mexico City, Mexico. The conference theme was Equality: From the Perspective of the Judiciary. It covered important topics facing judges in the region, such as Trafficking in Persons, Cyber Bullying, Migration, and Gender-based Violence. The Honourable Madame Justice Joan Charles, President of the Caribbean Association of Women Judges alongside the Honourable Madame Justice Carla Brown-Antoine, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Women Judges attended this regional conference. Also in attendance were Magistrates Rondel Weever and Rochelle Liverpool from Guyana. Due to Hurricane Irma judges from Jamaica were unfortunately unable to attend.
