Victims of reported disappearances and alleged extrajudicial and unlawful killings in istan, 24 October - 20 February The information presented below is based on reports that Amnesty International has received from civil society groups and credible media reports, since our latest press release of 26 October, highlighting the issue of murder and torture of activists. Amnesty International has not been able to corroborate the details of each incident. However, we look to the Pakistan government to conduct credible, impartial and transparent investigation into each allegation. The emerging trends of alleged human rights violations in istan are disturbing. As demonstrated by the below graphs, the reported disappearances and killings of activists in the recent months have increased. People who previously were reported missing were later found killed and their bodies allegedly bore marks of torture. Mir Ayub Gichki said that the age group of the five victims ranged from 15 years to 25 years and claimed that they received bullet wounds to their heads and died instantly.
