Event Secretary: Chris Whiley 07960 530305 Well we hope you all enjoyed the Chelmer Jim Perrin memorial Hardriders TT, shortened due to the last minute road closure, it was about 23 mile, but I m sure the Garmin users will let us know what it was to the 4 th decimal point! It may have been a small field, but the quality was there On a cold day, with a hard north easterly wind making it difficult on the exposed sections, some great rides were done, especially by Felix Barker, winning with a 2:42 min margin and still enough in the tank to take the last mile by 15 secs, and Mary Bower taking the ladies award from team mate Cathy Wood. The older vets still prove that they can turn a pedal in anger, a special mention to Jim Reed beating fellow 60-69 vets group Peter Tibbitts by just 4secs, both posting very respectable times. A big thankyou to the timekeepers, Wendy Dorling, Trevor Pedley and George Potter, to all the Chelmer members that turned out to marshall, especially the catering team of Ann Shuttleworth & Chris Holmes with their wonderful cakes and hot drinks, there seemed so many Chelmer members, nearly more helpers than riders! and finally a BIG thankyou to all of you riders for supporting the event, next year we hope to be back to being a National circuit series so hopefully we will see you all again, plus a few more and tell your friends what a brilliant event it was Have a good season.
