Tish Spaudling Director Allison Grimmett Assistant Director It s that time of the year again and we are gearing up for our Annual Trunk-or-Treat! Get ready for this fun time for the entire family. Join us on Tuesday, October 30th here at Winwood. For those of you who are new to Winwood this is one of our most popular events. The event starts at 4:30pm and ends at 6:30pm We will have our annual Halloween parade at 3:30pm followed by individual class parties from 4:30pm. This fun day will conclude with the Trunk-or-Treat from 4:30-6:30pm! Dress in your costumes and join us for all the fun and excitement! As always, please feel free to bring along neighbors, relatives or friends to join in on the fun!

Notes From Our Director Thank you for being a part of the Winwood family and for letting us spend quality time with your children! The beautiful fall colors are beginning to show outside and we have a month packed full of fun! As you saw on page one, our annual Trunk-or-Treat will be held on Tuesday, October 30th! We encourage you and your children to dress in your best Halloween costume. This event will start off with our annual Halloween costume parade at 3:30pm, followed by individual class parties 4:00-4:30pm and concluding with our Trunk-or-Treat from 4:30pm-6:30pm. This event is open to all families and please feel free to invite your neighbors, relatives and friends. October 8-12th is Fire Prevention week and the firefighters have volunteered to come in with their truck to our school on October 9th. The children will get a close look at all of the firefighting equipment and will see the firefighters in and out of their full uniform to calm any fears they may have. Naturally, this schedule is dependent on there being no firefighting emergencies that morning. Please have your child at school by 9:30 so they don t miss out on any of the excitement! I am looking forward to going to Directors Academy in Phoenix, AZ the week of October 22nd. In my absence, Ms. Allison, Ms. Jumana, Ms. Brittany and Ms. Kavita will be available for any questions. Here s to a fun-filled month for everyone! Tish Parents are more than welcome to come in to their child s class and entertain the children by reading a story, teaching them a new song, singing and dancing, or doing a small art project. Please work with the teachers in the classroom if you would like them to set aside a time for this. We also invite parents to ask their child s teacher if there is anything they can do at home to help like cutting, stenciling or preparing art! If you have the time we can use it!
