DIRECTIONS A1-B6 READY Before any sequence, cooperatively practice distance management drills on the feet (aggressive and passive opponent), and clinching against punches and kicks. AFTER the clinch is established, non-cooperatively practice staying safe in the clinched position. All series start with a cooperative takedown, with emphasis on good technique, proper timing and context of the takedown, and safety. MIDDLE The middle of the series is always non-cooperative. The UKE will continuously attempt to punch, choke, headlock, head-butt, pin the hips down, stand-up and disengage, lunge forward, pass the guard, knee strike, elbow strike, eye gouge, body slam, etc. Use the two-tap/stop-talk-continue system: As soon as the move is locked in, the player will pause without any prompting by the UKE and allow the UKE to cooperatively test the control. If the control is good, the UKE will tap and give verbal consent for the player to practice finishing the move in slow motion until the UKE taps once again.
