Board Highlights August 17, 2016 Meeting called to order at 7:15 P.M. Members Present: Jeff, Jessica, Murray, Mike, Gillian, Parker, and Daniel. Murray moved that the July 2016 Minutes be approved. The motion was seconded by Mike. Motion passed. Treasurer s Report given by Gillian. $5000 moved from Money Market to Checking. There is $51,622.71 in the Money Market account and $4,908.40 in the checking account for a total of $56,531.11. Membership Report none. Working Equitation Report: Need a new manager. Need a PVRA member to take Management. Horse Show Report: Aug 20th night of Hunter/Jumper Show Aug 21st All Breed Show well attended Aug 27th Polo Night Aug 28th Dressage Chuck Wagon Report: No current manager. Need a new manager. Rodeo Report: Prep for 2016 Rodeo continues. Board Member of the Month: August Veronica. September Jeff. Trainer Certification/Insurance Report: All current. Tractor Repairs: for yellow tractor. Roster: Complete. Update needed Arena Grooming Schedule: Not enough volunteers, so effort to devise a regular schedule on hold. Every sub-group encouraged to identify individuals to maintain their ring. Footing: 4 loads of sand added to dressage at $900 each/$3600 total but reportedly the new sand is not adequate. Hydrant Hose: Complete. Gillian s proposal regarding a daily use fee for non-members: Proposed fee would be $20. Have open riding time for non-members. Restroom doors need replacement. Gillian suggested polo member Ben will purchase and install appropriate doors. Walk in cooler: Filter needs regular cleaning twice monthly. Starting to require additional maintenance. Coil unit freezing. Investigation continues. Haul in fees discussion: Haul in fees: $20 for non-members for lessons. Ground fees: only during shows always $10. Baseline: Missed Members reminded to work their hours. The new billing rate is $12 per missed hour as of July 31, 2016. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.

Division Champion & Reserve Champion ribbons and Champion High Point Prizes given for Walk/Trot, Crossrail,Short Stirrup, Long Stirrup and Jumper Divisions. High Point Prize will be given for Open Hunter Division. Clearly identify on your entry form any class in which you are Schooling only (will accrue no points). Handy Hunter riders will jump over a course that includes bending lines, trot fences, etc. Ribbons given 1 st - 6 th place. Class # 21 Gambler s Choice will pay $50 to 1 st, $30 to 2 nd, $20 to 3 rd. Show Info: Appropriate show attire, riding boots, ASTM/SEI helmets and English saddles required. Only PVRA members are eligible for PVRA Year-End Hi-Point Awards. Points accumulate on one horse/same rider combination. Riders with multiple horses must declare which horse will accrue points prior to entering their first class for any points to count. Poway Valley Riders Association Grounds 14336 Tierra Bonita Road, Poway, 920644 This show is intended to be a fun learning experience for anyone who is new to showing, would like to practice their showing skills, or school their horse(s). Volunteers run this show and judges are not carded because of this, there are a few things to remember: Class Fees: $4.99 per class or $30 all day (7 or more classes). Day shows start at 8:30 AM, the entry booth opens at 7:30 AM FIRST CLASS CLOSES AT 8:20 SHARP First through Sixth Place ribbons.
