First night is Monday July 25th at 6:00 pm, and the final night is Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. (Please note: Steer/Market Heifer Show 6:45 p.m. on Monday night only). From Richmond at the intersection of U.S. 25/421 (Dr. Robert Martin By-Pass and U.S. 52), take US 52 toward Irvine. The fair grounds are 3.5 miles out US 52 on the left. Signs are posted. NO ENTRY FEE FOR OUT OF COUNTY STEERS/HEIFERS!!! Fair admission fee is the only fee for all beef show participants! Youth Classes will show first, with the Open Beef Cattle Show beginning at approximately 7:00 pm each night. Premium money is: 1 st place, $25; 2 nd place, $20; 3 rd place, $15; and 4 th place, $10. Supreme Champion and Reserve Champion will receive $300 and $150 respectively. Cattle should be on the grounds by 5:00 p.m. each night to allow for plenty of registration time prior to the show. Our Open Youth Steer/ Market Heifer Show will be on Monday July 25th and it will start at about 6:45 p.m. The grand champion will receive $300 and reserve champion will receive $150. Steers/Heifers need to be on the grounds by 5:00 p.m. ** Youth Heifers are shown in Open Classes and will receive Open Payout only** *Monday July 25th Show Classes: Showmanship, Open steer/market heifer show, Angus, Charolais, Hereford, AOB and Crossbreeds. *Tuesday July 26th Show Classes: Showmanship, Gelbvieh, Simmental, Saler, Red Angus, Short Horn, AOB and Crossbreeds. *** Please turn over for more important information on back***

(continued from front ) * Don t forget that we have a wash rack facility at the fairgrounds for you to use. * Please bring your own generator if possible to run your clippers, fans, blowers, etc. We have limited electrical capacity at the arena. * Also, please clean up bedding materials as much as you can before you leave, even if this means just raking the material up in a pile. To enter, a child must be a 4-H/FFA Member enrolled in a beef project and have completed at least 6 hours educational training. 3. The animal must be owned by, and under the direct care of, the exhibitor on or before March 31, 2016. 4. All steers and commercial heifers must be KUIP tagged no later than March 31, 2016 to be eligible to show in the Madison County Fair. 5. Exhibitors may enter 2 steers or commercial heifers into the Madison County Steer/Heifer Show. 6. All steers/heifers will be shown by weight and will be broken into appropriate classes. Calves must weigh at least 850 pounds. Novice Showmen are exempt from weight requirements. 7. Heifer registration papers must be in the child s name by June 1, 2016 in accordance to KY State Fair Rules.

8. Madison County Born and Raised Heifer Class: Animals entered into this class must be the project animal of a Madison County youth and be born and raised on a Madison County Farm. 9. Any youth exhibitors showing in open classes receive open payout only. They are not eligible for both a youth payment and an open show payment.
