Flowering of the Cross A cross has been erected in front of the Administration building for our 2nd annual Flowering of the Cross which will be next Tuesday, March 27th. We are asking all of our students to bring a simple fresh flower on Tuesday to place on the cross. This can be from your yard or even a wildflower! This will be a beautiful way to symbolize the new life that emerges from the death of Good Friday. The entire school will have the opportunity to add a flower to the wooden cross as we reflect on Jesus Christ s life, death and resurrection. But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 We are proud of our 1st 8th grade students who will be competing in the PSIA District Competition tomorrow. We pray they do their best and honor the Lord as they compete with the talents and gifts He has given them. A big thank you to our coordinator, Mrs. Sandy Keller, and all of the teachers who have been coaching the events. Our March BOX TOPS for Education Competition is Underway! Clip, clip, clip!!! 1st Grade Leader of the Week, Reagan Boyle, directs classmates to observe shadows based on body movements.

Sadie Nguyen Sadie Thien Thu Nguyen has attended Texoma Christian School for the past thirteen years. While at TCS, she has participated in cheerleading, track, softball, volleyball, mission trips, and Student Council. She is also a member of National Honor Society. Outside of her school involvement, Sadie enjoys tumbling and stunting at the Gymnastics Sports Center, reading, and listening to music. Some of Sadie s favorite memories at TCS include the Washington D.C. trip her junior year, the mission trips her freshman, sophomore and senior years, the Senior Retreat, and Mrs. Farmer s loft in first grade. When asked how TCS has impacted her life, Sadie said, Coach Erik Krotz impacted me most academically in history class because he taught me how to stay on my toes and be organized. Spiritually, the Care-A-Thons, mission trips, and Chapel have kept me in line with my faith, opening my eyes to what is actually important rather than stressing about school all of the time. She also said, My many siblings have helped me a lot preparing for middle school and high school. I could always go to them for help on homework or making school decisions. Following high school, Sadie plans to study Marketing at Texas A & M College Station and go into the Fashion Merchandising industry. Sadie s favorite scriptures are Psalm 34: 18 & 20 - The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. Sadie s advice to future high school seniors is, Don t stress 24/7. School isn t everything. Make memories!
