Round of applause was given to the night s Food/ Beverages volunteers -Jim and Ruth Lawson Great job! Pickleball controversy Ball display was on stage. Display was of a yellow and orange Dura Fast 40 balls and a yellow and orange Onix Pure 2 balls. Both locations have Onix Pure 2 balls currently yellow balls are at Liberty and orange balls are at Sands. As balls are phased out both colors will be at both locations. Those members who would like to use the Dura Fast 40 balls in prep for a tournament may purchase them. The club will continue to use the Onix Pure 2 balls as they are quieter, last longer and are less expensive. Because the USAPA has named the Dura Fast 40 ball as an official tournament ball the price has increased. In prior years the Club has spent $5,000 on balls the club has spent $1500 on the Onix Pure 2 balls Ramona Boone has volunteered to check out bulk price on the Dura Fast 40 ball and will notify members who may want to order some balls. Richard Harris commented that the neighbors near the courts appreciate the quiet balls. Margaret Gibbs appreciated the ball display and the explanation. Donna has received comments about the color of the edge of the resurfaced courts. The Rec Center has offered to put in a work order to touch up the courts. Rick Van Tuyle commented that the posts were faded in color suggested they be painted. Donna indicated that such work is not complete during the season. 50/50 Drawing Winners Dee Roark, Ron Mullen, Ralph Worley Next Meetings No General Membership meeting will be held in December.
