Principal and Assistant Principal s Corner Dear OLPH Families, In this week s Old Testament Reading, the discussion is on wisdom, which is the opposite of sin. Then, in the Gospel Reading, Jesus counsels us to give up all our worldly possessions for the Kingdom of God, which the young ruler who asked Jesus the question did not want to hear and went away dejectedly. The young ruler embraced his fear of giving up all that he had here, instead of having trust and faith in what Jesus what saying. The first quarter will come to a close this Friday, and report cards will be sent out next week. There is noon dismissal on 10/19 for faculty professional development, and noon dismissal on both 10/ 25 and 10/26 for parent/ teacher conferences. The OLPH athletic fields and gym have been filled from Friday night on with all involved in CYO sports. All middle school sports seasons are wrapping up their regular season this week, and have done well upon the fields of friendly strife. Of special note is that the middle school soccer team will begin its playoff run next week. A parent reminded us that they were undefeated at home and had only one loss this season. The 8-1-2 is the best record OLPH has had in soccer!
