SIGN LANGUAGE WITH ELLIE BY ELLIE TURVOLD Friend: Extend pointer fingers and lock them. Then switch hands and repeat. Newspaper: Start to pinch your right pointer and thumb together and then bring down to your left hand and pinch together. Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 Movie Review Written by Movie Critic Club s Nathan Sarchet Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 is the critically acclaimed sequel to a critically acclaimed movie. An amazing cast who you can relate to (especially Star Lord). If you like comedy, GOTG is for you. Baby Grot has great skits. But of course, you can t have a Marvel movie without action. They mix comedy and action, like the part where Star Lord makes a giant Pac-man battle a robot-like thing. This may be a PG-13 movie, but it s a must-watch with the whole family. Gossip Review By Sam Schmidt Let me just start off by saying when I went to see "Gossip" I was pretty amazed. I had ended up having a list of 15 positives and only 1 negative. Since I don't have enough time or space to name everything that was amazing, I ll only be listing my favorites. To start this list off, I have to mention how terrific Bella and Brie were as Candy and Kaine. I think that their acting was incredible and that they were a perfect fit for their parts. Next up is how amazing Gabby was as Gossip. She really did an awesome job and made me really feel suspicious of her character. Lastly what I would have to say is my absolute favorite part was Finn as the narrator/ Andy. I don't even know what made me love his character and his acting so much, but all I know is he did such a good job, that I can't even begin to describe it. Now before I get to my singular negative, I would just like to say that everyone that participated in making the play did a fantastic job. That includes all of the actors, all of the people that worked behind the scenes (such as lights and sound), and the everyone from set design. So round of applause to all of you. Now the part of my review that I've been dreading. The only negative part that I could really find had to do with Tim s performance. What I mean by that is sometimes you couldn't really hear and understand what he was saying. Now before I end my review I would like to give the biggest shout-out to Mrs. Hughes, the director. She did such an amazing job at directing that I could barely spot a negative about it. All in all "Gossip" was a breathtaking play and I'm looking forward to going to Aladdin" the musical! 3

Book and Music Recommendation Invisibility by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan Recommendation written by Sam Schmidt Stephen was born invisible. Not figuratively, he was actually born invisible. Not seen by anyone including his parents and even himself. Everything that Stephen had ever known was to him was being invisible. That changes when one day a girl named Elizabeth moves into the apartment next door. One day as Elizabeth was moving her boxes in, she noticed Stephen standing there. For the first time in his life someone had seen him and he didn't even know why. Come see what happens next in "Invisibility" by Andrea Cremer and David Levithan. I love this book because it makes you think that it's just gonna be a cheesy romance book, while in reality it is so much more. Not only does it deal with magic, it also deals with the topic of people who are treated unfairly due to their sexual orientation. I would have to say that Laurie (Elizabeth's little brother) is my favorite character by far. Overall, it truly is an exciting book that you won't want to put down once you start reading it. Song Recommendations Recommendation written by April Juen Chasing Cars" written by Gary Lightbody. And sung by Snow Patrol. This song was used on the ABC show Grey s Anatomy. It s a great song to listen to with your friends or even by yourself. The lyrics are really catchy. House of Gold was written by Tyler Joseph and sung by Twenty-One Pilots. It repeats a lot but it s a very fun song to sing loudly to in the shower to make it really awkward walking out of the bathroom. 4
