Nature at the Tour The Lee s and the Capps were at Texas Tour in our RVs, at a very nice campground very near the Tour main site. One small host was there to greet us! A Killdeer had made her nest right behind a neighbor s RV. I placed an orange cone nearby to keep folks from walking on the nest, the egg and nest were very difficult to see!. She was shading the one egg (later, two) and doing what they do when danger came: act as if she was injured, fluttering along the ground away from the nest. Such a pretty bird!! Sunshine Report Sue Capps Lois Estes...still has the shingles. They are not as visible, but the itching is still bad. Jim says she is having a difficult time. Page 6

Will Rogers, who died in a 1935 plane crash in Alaska with bush pilot, Wiley Post, was one of the greatest political country/cowboy sages this country has ever known. Some of his sayings: Never slap a man who's chewing tobacco. Never kick a cow chip on a hot day. There are two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither works. Never miss a good chance to shut up. Always drink upstream from the herd. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. The quickest way to double your money is to fold it and put it back into your pocket. There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves. Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment. If you're riding' ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it s still there. Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier'n than puttin' it back in. Patronize our Club Sponsors
