BATTLE FOR THE WATCHES Thanks to J. Vair Anderson for their continued support of the Calgary Polo Club, there is one prize that all the players seem to really want...the coveted watches! This season is no exception as fans arrived on Thursday evening in their cowboy hats and wranglers in honor of the Calgary Stampede, Ivanhoe and The Hawks had victory on their minds. The battle for the 10 goal J. Vair Anderson Cup began with Ivanhoe taking an early 5 goal lead. The Hawks didn t stay down for long, with some perfect penalty conversions, and some very fast horses, they took over the lead by one. It was an incredible comeback, but unfortunately for the Hawks Ivanhoe had a few more tricks up their sleeves and at the end of the sixth and final chukker the score was 9-8 in favor of Ivanhoe.
