CANADIAN OPEN REMATCH Yes, it was Millarville vs Zenas for a second year in a row competing for the Canadian Open Championship title and the Omega watches at the Calgary Polo Club. A huge crowd was on hand on Sunday, August 20th to witness these two teams square off one more time. Millarville came out on fire scoring the first goal and leading by as many as 3 goals in the first half. It seemed as though it may be a very long game for Zenas. Half time proved to be very beneficial for Zenas because the 4th chukker definitely belonged to them. Both teams battled through the 5th and 6th chukkers, but in the end Zenas held onto a 1 goal lead and took over the Canadian Open Championship title as well as winning the coveted Omega watches generously donated by J. Vair Anderson. Runners-up of the Canadian Open: Millarville: Clemente Zavaleta, Daniel Roenisch, Fred H. Mannix, Bryan Thomas. Ken Anderson and Anne Kendall presenting prizes.
