From Our Sailing Master As Christmas approaches, another sailing season draws to a close. Finally, we had a perfect sailing day with 12 to 16kt N/E winds making for a challenging sail before our presentation of awards for our small boat racing. In first place was our esteemed secretary Peter Fox followed by Bruce Legg and myself in third place. Some prizes were presented for our inaugural ladies skippers race with a number of encouragement medals also presented to our regular sailors. All in all, a great day of sailing followed by a successful awards presentation. A special presentation was awarded for the invaluable assistance and service by Moss, our previous Sailing Master, who once again came to the assistance of a club member whose boat had capsized. He washed the submerged motor and eventually got it running again. Finally, a sincere thanks to Peter Fox for the help in easing me into the position of Sailing Master. Without his continuing knowledge and help, our sailing season would not have been so successful. I look forward to an exciting 2019 and more sailing on our beautiful bay. Cheers and Merry Xmas, Peter Deane, Sailing Master
