GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1) We regret that no horse may enter the show without an up to date horse flu vaccination and AHS vaccination (Batch and date details MUST be on the online entry form) This is in accordance with SAEF Rule Appendix VR/9/7/1: Horses MUST be inoculated by a VETERINARIAN within a period of 12 months of the date of the previous inoculation for AHS and 6 months from the date of the previous flu vaccination otherwise the inoculation will be deemed to have expired. 2) Passports must be presented to the Show Secretary ASAP upon arrival at the GRC premises. Horse without correct vaccinations will be required to vacate the premises immediately. 3) It is compulsory that ALL pets are on leashes AT ALL TIMES. Animal owners found in contradiction will be fined R150 per unsecured animal. 4) It is mandatory for ALL riders to wear protective headgear on GC premises. 5) No cheques will be accepted. 6) NO refunds will be made in respect of cancellations and scratching after the closing date of entries. 7) It is the competitor s responsibility to check whether their entries have been received. 8) The final program will be posted by email 24 hours before commencement of the show 9) Please note that only the starting time is exact for the day. 10) Please note that the organizing committee reserves the right to combine, vary, divide or cancel classes if insufficient entries are received. Should the status of a show change due to unforeseen circumstances entries will not be refunded. 11) Insofar as possible the programme and conditions relating thereto will be adhered to. However, the Organising Committee reserves the right to make alterations in the event of unfavourable weather conditions or any other unforeseen circumstances. Should the show be cancelled or postponed for any reason, only entry fees will be refunded. 12) SAEF, SASJ, SASA, SAEQA, DSA or the GRC, the Organizers or any officials appointed by these shall in no way be held responsible for any damage, loss, injury sustained by owners, competitors, members of the public or any other persons or their property at GRC for the duration of the show. 13) By entering a stallion at GRC, the competitor & owner agree to the following conditions & agree to abide by the following protocol: a) Competition stallions remain the responsibility of the owner & rider at all times & they are expected to have public liability against any loss, injury or damage that might be caused by the stallion. b) It is the responsibility of the owner & rider to ensure that the stallion cannot exit the stable allocated to it on its own/or with the help of another horse or uninformed person c) The stallion may only be removed from the stable during the show for exercise & preparation/competition & only in the presence of a responsible handler/rider. d) All stallions must wear a yellow tag on their bridle at all times. 14) Under NO circumstances is the covering of mares allowed to take place at the GRC premises.

15) By entering a horse that kicks at the GRC, the competitor & owner agree to the following conditions & agree to abide by the following protocol: a) The pony/horse must wear a red ribbon in its tail at all times. RIBBONS MUST BE REMOVED WHILE COMPETING IN THE SHOWING ARENA. b) The pony/horse remains the responsibility of the owner & rider at all times & they are expected to have public liability against any loss, injury or damage that might be caused by the pony/horse. 16) Jumping rules: ACCUMULATOR FEI Art 269.5 Normal Competition FEI Art 238.2.2 17) Dressage riders not presenting themselves to the judge within five minutes of their riding time will forfeit their entry and that class 18) The GRC reserves the right to implement any rule/regulations it deems necessary or on the advice of a veterinarian (State or Private) to control the spread of any disease. ALL competitors will be obliged to adhere to such rules/regulations at all times. 19) The graded arenas at the club are closed from the closing date of entries. This EXCLUDES the warm-up arenas. 20) The Show Holding Body of the GRC reserves the right to limit entries, depending on the total number of entries received per class. 21) Temporary discipline members do not earn any grading points, Victor Ludorum or Rider Ranking points.

SHOWING Friday 3rd & Saturday 4 th FRIDAY WORKING HUNTER, HANDY HUNTER SATURDAY WORKING RIDING, IN HAND UTILITY, SHOW RIDING Held under the auspices of Showing South Africa All SASA & SAEF Veterinary Rules will apply All classes will be run under SASA Rules 18 th Edition November 2017 Horse and/or riders may be tested for the presence of prohibited substances in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations. A hard hat with 3-point harness is compulsory for all working riding and working hunter classes. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Organisers reserve the right to cancel, combine & restrict classes. The program will be adhered to as far as possible. Registration: all competitors (riders/owners/horses) in Novice and Open classes must be registered with SASA, SAEF & SAEF Affiliated club or must pay R60 temporary membership with their entry fee. Temporary members will not earn grading or Victor Ludorum points. Membership with SASA is available at http://www.showingsa.co.za or from admin@showingsa.co.za SASA EDT scheme will pay all entry fees for all classes for registered members of the SASA EDTS scheme. EDTS application forms, rules & conditions are available at http://www.showingsa.co.za or admin@showingsa.co.za Registered EDTS in graded or SASA riding horse classes will earn National SASA EDTS Victor Ludorum points. Registered SASA coaches will earn National SASA Coach Victor Ludorum points for all their pupils in graded SASA Riding Horse classes. Any rider wishing to compete as an adult at this show may do so as long as they have reached their 16 th birthday by the 1 st day of the show. They may then ride again as a junior from the next show. This is such a fabulous opportunity for the younger combinations.
