NATS Office C/- 210 Wilton Park Rd WILTON NSW 2571 NATIONAL ANGORA TROPHY SHOW AND SALE Mohair Australia Ltd - NSW Division 27 th December 2006, Dear Exhibitor/Vendor, On behalf of the NSW Division of Mohair Australia Ltd I would like to invite you to Exhibit, Sell, Buy and Enjoy the National Angora Trophy Show and Sale in 2007. We are delighted to inform you that our mohair and animal judge in 2007 will be Mr Ken Sykes from Queensland and the Appraisal class will be judged by Mr Alan Dunstan from New South Wales. Attached is the official NATS invitation, with the show & sale entry forms. Also included is the Footrot, Johnes Health Status and Vendor GST Declarations. Please ensure that these forms are submitted with your entries. There have been improvements and changes to several classes in 2007 so please read the updated invitation and conditions of entry. The main changes are: Introduction of a Junior Handling Class on the Sunday morning, with entries taken on Saturday afternoon. The Appraisal Class has changed to show the dollar returns of kids and hogget wethers or does to make up the exhibitor team. This is an important point because new growers and people outside the industry find it difficult to understand the difference in quality and fleece weight with kids vs older animals to compare dollar returns. We are requiring 2 kids under 12 months wethers or does and 2 yearling (12-24 months) wethers or does to make up the team to demonstrate the differences. In the appraisal class we have removed the point score system. The combined team of four with the highest dollar return will win. The theme for the EDUCATIONAL SEMINAR in 2007 will be Kidding Management different approaches and practical tips and we have some great speakers lined up. These will be announced in the Jan/Feb Mohair Australia news sheets and The Land advertising campaign. Goulburn continues to be on Level 5 water restrictions and we will advise on the water situation closer to the show. Interstate exhibitors will not be required to bring water. We appreciate your involvement and enthusiasm in helping to make the NATS happen and despite it being a difficult year we believe it is important to continue with an annual event and show case the best of the Mohair industry. I look forward to seeing you in March. Yours Sincerely, Nick Gorrie NSW Division
