Team Eligibility a) The Team Rster Frm, the Team Registratin Frm, bth signed by yur Regin/District Supervisr, alng with the Team Fee and cpies f each cmpleted Player Cntract and the cmpleted Cach s Agreement fr the team must be returned t Dennis Becker n r befre the May 4th Managers Meeting. PENALTY: THE TEAM WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE AA LEAGUE FOR THE 2019 SEASON. NO TEAMS WILL BE ADDED AFTER MAY 4TH UNLESS PRIOR APPROVAL IS OBTAINED FROM DENNIS BECKER. d) Teams shuld nt carry less than 14 r mre than 22 players. All teams must have their rster with them at all games. PENALTY: Frfeiture f Game. e) Teams are nt allwed t rster and/r play mre than fur (4) players frm the same High Schl if thse players played High Schl baseball fr the same High Schl n any f that High Schl s bna fide sanctined baseball teams until June 1 st ; at which time any number f baseball players frm the same High Schl can play tgether n the same AA team. High Schl age players wh did nt play High Schl baseball during the mst recent seasn, can play in any number n the same AA team prir t June 1 st. Further, n High Schl baseball player can play n a AA team until his High Schl team has been eliminated frm any High Schl sanctined pst seasn play. 3. Player Eligibility a) Yu must have cpies f each f the cmpleted Player Cntract in the hands f Dennis Becker n r befre May 4th fr all players n yur rster t start the seasn. Fr players added after the seasn starts, cpies f the cmpleted Player Cntract must be in Dennis Becker s hand befre said player can play in a game. Emails are acceptable. PENALTY: Team will frfeit each game in which said player participates. b) Teams are nt required t turn in a birth certificate r a picture f each player. Hwever, in case f prtest n player s eligibility, the manager must prduce bth items within 24 hurs r face pssible frfeit. c) Players may nt play n any ther team Knthle team. d) Teams and players may nt play in mre than ne Knthle league. Teams and players may play in a nn-knthle league in additin t their Knthle league. e) Players cannt be 19 befre May 1, 2019. f) N players may be added after June 21st. 4. Seasn Dates a) The seasn will begin Sunday May 26th. Early seasn games may be rescheduled by the teams where cnflicts exist due t high schl rules. b) The last scheduled game date will be Sunday June 30th. c) Last date fr make- up games frm regular seasn will be Wednesday July 3rd. d) Any required tiebreaker games will be played n Friday July 5th. 5. Schedules a) Schedules shall be released n later than Saturday May 18th. b) Schedule styles shall be discussed and decided upn at the May 4th Managers Meeting. 6. District/Regin Bundaries a) Teams are t be made up f players frm their Knthle Regin/District. b) If a player wishes t play in anther Regin/District, the cach must btain apprval frm their Regin/District Supervisr and the AA Executive Supervisr. 7. Number f Games a) The number f games t be played shall be vted n at the Managers Meeting. b) Scheduling f dubleheaders shall be discussed at the Managers Meeting. c) A legal seasn fr a team t qualify fr the AA Knthle Wrld Series Turnament shall be determined at the Managers meeting. d) FORFEITS DO NOT COUNT WHEN DETERMINING NUMBER OF GAMES PLAYED FOR TOURNAMENT ELIGILIBILITY PURPOPSES. 8. Unifrms a) This is a unifrm league. 9. Umpires a) Each game shuld have tw umpires. Umpires must be trained in Class AA rules t umpire Class AA games. b) The Hst team is respnsible fr prviding bth umpires fr all games. c) Umpire pay is $120.00 per game with each team paying ne umpire $60.00. If nly ne umpire des a game, that umpire will be paid $90.00, with the hme team paying $45.00 and the visiting team paying $45.00 d) Teams that frfeit a game will be charged a $50.00 penalty, t be paid immediately r they will nt be able t finish their seasn, (payable t KB thrugh the Executive Supervisr). e) Each umpire wh shws up at a game that is frfeited will be paid $50.00. f) N AA manager, cach, r player may umpire in AA baseball. g) N persn may umpire a game when an immediate family member is playing r caching. h) Umpires must be paid n the field befre the game starts unless prir arrangements have been made by the hst team with their umpires. 10. Class AA Wrld Series Turnament a) The AA Knthle Baseball Wrld Series Turnament will tentatively begin Mnday July 8 th. b) The turnament structure and style shall be vted n at the Managers Meeting. There will be a best f three Champinship Series n matter what turnament style is chsen t determine the verall Class AA champin. c) Turnament eligibility see 7 (c) plus any ther criteria decided by the Managers at the Managers Meeting. 11. Re-Entry Rule See KB Rule #18. 12. Batting Order Optins a) The cntinuus batting (CB) rule: If a player cannt bat, (unable t bat because f illness, injury, had t leave, etc.), such psitin is nt an ut in the batting rder. Any nine players may play n the defense. b) The additinal hitter (AH) rule: If using the AH, a 10 th batter may be added t the batting rder at the start f the game. Any nine f the ten batters may play n defense. If a team using the AH drps frm ten t nine players available, the spt in the lineup is left pen and is NOT an ut. The re-entry rule applies as well. c) The designated hitter (DH) rule: If a designated hitter is used, he may nt play n defense. The DH may be used with the AH and the re-entry rule. d) Managers must chse ne f these ptins befre the game begins: CB, Cntinuus batting rule AH, Additinal Hitter DH, Designated Hitter AH and DH Regular nine-man batting rder. 13. Curtesy Runner a) THIS OPTION IS FOR CATCHERS ONLY. This rule applies nly t the player wh finished the previus inning as the catcher, nt the player wh will be the catcher the next inning. b) If the team is using the cntinuus batting rder, the player wh made the last ut will be used. 14. A pitcher may finish the current batter if the daily pitch cunt limit is reached during that at bat. ii. A pitcher may pitch in multiple games during the same day up t the daily pitch cunt limit. iii. All pitches thrwn in a suspended game r a n cntest game SHALL COUNT tward the daily pitch cunt limit and the ttal number f pitches thrwn fr days rest purpses. iv. All pitches thrwn in a scrimmage game r a preview game SHALL COUNT tward the daily pitch cunt limit and the ttal number f pitches thrwn fr days rest purpses. v. Each team MUST keep a recrd f all pitches thrwn by each f their pitchers in each game (including thse in 14 b iii and iv) and make this available t the AA Supervisr upn request. vi. Any player pitching during a perid f required rest is cnsidered t be pitching as an ineligible player. vii. N pitch intentinal walks are allwed using the fllwing prcedure: N pitches cunt tward the pitcher s pitch cunt when a n pitch intentinal walk is declared by the manager f the defensive team in the field. The manager wishing t declare the use f a n pitch intentinal walk shall direct such declaratin t the hme plate umpire wh shall in turn direct the batter t take first base. The ball remains in play and is live. The n pitch intentinal walk des cunt as a pitch/play fr purpses f appeals and prtests. 15. Official Game a) AA games will be 7 innings. b) Any game stpped because f rain, lightening r darkness shall be cnsidered a cmplete game after a minimum 4 1/2 innings prvided the hme team is leading. See KB Rule #11 fr further definitin. c) A game stpped because f rain, lightening r darkness, and nt an fficial game, will be resumed at the pint f suspensin. 16. Run Rule a) A game will be called if ne team is ahead by 8 r mre runs after the lsing team has had 5 cmplete times at bat. b) N game can end by the run rule if the run limit is reached while the visiting team is at bat. c) See KB Rule #8 fr full definitin f an Official Game. 17. Rain Cnditin Rule a) The Hst team manager will check the field 3 hurs befre game time and ntify the visiting team and umpires if the field is nt playable. The Hst team manager decides if the field is playable befre the game starts. b) Once the game starts and the first pitch is thrwn, the game is up t the umpires. 18. Cancelled Games a) Scheduled games may nly be cancelled because f rainuts r schl events, (teams face pssible frfeits fr ther reasns). b) All games are t be rescheduled and played within tw weeks after the cancellatin. Any games cancelled after June 20 th must be played n bth teams next mutually pen date. c) N game is t be rescheduled after July 3rd. d) The Executive Supervisr is t be ntified abut rescheduled games. If there is any prblem in rescheduling a game, the Executive Supervisr shuld be cntacted and he can schedule the game and require the teams t shw up r frfeit. 19. Discipline a) Any player, cach r spectatr ejected frm a game fr disciplinary reasns will be suspended fr 1 game n the first ffense. b) On the secnd ejectin, player r cach will be suspended fr 2 games and the team culd frfeit the game in which the secnd ejectin ccurred. A secnd ejectin fr the same spectatr will have their discipline decided by the Executive Supervisr and enfrced by the spectatr s team manager. Bth managers must reprt all ejectins fr disciplinary reasns t the Executive Supervisr. c) Fr serius discipline cases, the Executive Supervisr can impse a mre severe punishment, with final appeal t an Appeals Bard appinted by the Executive Supervisr t hear the appeal. The appellant must actually attend the appeal f the appeal wn t be heard and the discipline autmatically upheld. PAGE 3 OF 4

20. Frfeits a) ONLY THE EXECUTIVE SUPERVICOR CAN DECLARE FORFEITS. CONTACT THE EXECUTIVE SUPERVISOR IMMEDIATELY IF YOU THINK YOU ARE DUE A FORFEIT; DELAYS OF LONGR THAN ONE CALENDAR WEEK AFTER THE SCHEDULE DATE OF THE GAME IN QUESTION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. b) If a team des nt field a team within 30 minutes f the scheduled starting game time, the game culd be frfeited. Unusual circumstances and emergencies will be cnsidered befre a frfeit is final. 21. Prtests a) Prtests must be made in accrdance with KB Rule #14. b) The prtest, alng with $100.00 CASH, must be filed in writing with the Executive Supervisr within 24 hurs. c) The Executive Supervisr will be respnsible fr setting up a Prtest Cmmittee and he will head said cmmittee. d) N persn invlved in the prtest will be n the Prtest Cmmittee. 22. Official Scring a) If there is an independent fficial screr assigned t the game, that individual shall be respnsible fr keeping the fficial screbk fr the game including the recrding f pitch cunts fr each and every pitcher used in the game by bth teams in accrdance with Rule #14 abve. The fficial screr shall sign the screbk after the cmpletin f the game. The hme team shall take pssessin f the game s fficial screbk after the cmpletin f the game. b) If there is n independent fficial screr assigned t the game, the hme team is respnsible fr assigning smene t be the fficial screr fr the game. That individual shall fllw all instructins in #22 (a) and shall give the screbk t the hme team manager after the cmpletin f the game. c) After the game has ended, if there are any questins abut pitch cunts and/r any ther recrdable activity during the game, the screbk signed by the fficial screr shall be the nly screbk cnsulted by the Executive Supervisr. 23. Scres a) Winning team is expected t reprt scres t the Executive Supervisr, (r his designee), within 24 hurs f the cmpletin f the game. b) Failure t cmply with this rule culd lead t a disciplinary situatin r even frfeit. 24. Final Standings a) The number f wins will determine final reginal standings. b) In the case f a tie fr psitin and/r qualifying fr the turnament the fllwing tie-breaker will be used; Head t Head Recrd, (ttal runs are nt cnsidered) Team recrd within the divisin, if divisins are used within the league (mst wins). games played Ttal games played Playffs will be held if necessary. 25. Pre-Game Batting Practice a) There shall be n batting practice 60 minutes (1 hur) preceding the scheduled start time f any game n r in the vicinity f the scheduled field fr said game. This includes active batting practice with a pitcher, the use f hitting sticks, sft tss r any ther means f simulating batting practice with a batter swinging an actual bat r substitute fr same. b) Many parks have rules preventing batting practice f any type within an entire park; lcal parks rules shall apply if they are mre restrictive than this rule. c) If a park has a batting cage which is able t be used by bth the hme and visiting teams; then, as lng as bth teams have an equal amunt f time t use the batting cage, batting practice wuld be allwed during the 60 minutes preceding the scheduled start time f the game. Once the game has started, n team/player is allwed any batting practice during the playing f the game. 26. Other Rules a) Majr League r Knthle Baseball rules will apply t any situatin nt previusly cvered. b) District/Regin Rules, High Schl Rules and Cllege Rules d nt apply t AA Baseball. c) All Ohi managers, caches and umpires must btain the State f Ohi required cncussin certificatin. d) Ohi s Lindsay s Law must be fllwed by all caches wh play games in the State f Ohi. e) Knthle Baseball (KB) rules which apply t AA Baseball are numbers: 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 E, F, G & H, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28 and 29.
