PHS Daily Bulletin Our Mission To ensure that everyone achieves individual excellence. Tuesday September 4, 2018 Day 3 Students are reminded that they are to only use the locker that is assigned to them on their schedule. Students are also reminded that they are required to have a working lock on their locker. Having a lock is not optional. Although lockers are the property of the WQSB, it is the responsibility of students to ensure the safety of their personal belongings for the school year. Students who do not have a working lock securing their belongings by Wednesday, September 5 th, will be assigned a lock from the office that must be returned at the end of the school year. Students with errors on their timetable or students who wish to make Option course changes, are asked to sign up at the Black Table under the dragon. Deadline for all course changes is Friday, September 14, 2018 All emergency, publication consent, and technology forms should be returned to Mrs. Provost at reception or to Advisors. XCountry Practice will be Tuesdays and Wednesdays till 4:30 Mr. Mac Do you want to play club volleyball with the Vikings? Vikings Volleyball ID camps will be taking place in the next few weeks and if you interested in playing club volleyball this year or checking out their training camps, this information is for you! If you have any questions, see Mrs. Davis.

Student Government Grade Rep Applications EMPLOYEE NEWSLETTER PAGE 3 'Tis the season for Grade Rep applications! If you are interested in joining Student Government for the 2018-2019 year as a Grade rep, then be sure to pick up your application outside the Student Government room (232) this week! Applications are due by noon on Friday, September 7th (no exceptions). We will be looking for Grade reps for Grades 7-11 and this is a fantastic way to get involved in planning awesome events for our school. Pending the submission of your application, your name will be placed on the voting ballot for your grade. Grade reps are elected by students in their grade, while our Presidents will be elected by the entire PHS student body. A formal election will happen in mid-septmeber in the library. If you have any questions, please speak to Mrs. Davis. Softball 2018 Sign-Ups If you are interested in playing co-ed softball this year, please sign-up this week on the bulletin boards outside the gym. All students in Grades 7-11 are encouraged to play (free of cost). Practices will begin on Monday, September 10th after school. A practice schedule will be posted by Friday, September 7th. Any questions, see Mr. Davis, Mrs. Davis, Mr. Sweezey or Mr. Wynne. Packages are being handed out during advisory. Orders can be done online before photo day. If not ordering online, students must return their envelope with payment in the form of cash, money order or cheque (made out to Life Touch), to the photographers on Sept 5 th. If paying in cash, parents are asked to enclose the exact amount of money for their order, in the envelopes provided. The photographers/office will not be providing student s with change.

CALLING ALL CANOERS! Do you like to canoe? Do you want to learn how to canoe? Do you want to improve your canoeing skills? Come on out and join the PHS Canoe Club! Mark the following dates on your calendars: September 6th (Day 5): Canoe training day September 13-14th (Days 1-2): Overnight canoe trip Date TBA: Upper Pontiac Canoe River Races The training day is available to anyone who would like to join and either learn the fine art of canoeing or improve their skills. The training day is required for any who are also planning on doing the overnight trip. The overnight trip is for PAST Canoe Club members ONLY. Details and permission forms will soon be available from Mr. Kent; see him for more details! If anyone is interested in being a part of the Terry Fox Club Please go to room 230 at lunch on Tuesday Sept 4 th.
