Bring copies of birth certificates as proof of age for check-in. If you forget or do not have a player s birth certificate for proper identification at check-in, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY until proper identification is available for review by our registrar. Games SEE RULES for time limits and run rules. Be respectful of all teams. You don t need to run up the score on opposing teams, just to run it up. Baseball is a game of respect. Coaches, players and parents are to respect the umpires at all times. Like we have witnessed in MLB games and playoffs, umpires make mistakes just like the rest of us. Do not try to embarrass them. What happens between the foul lines during the game is the umpire s responsibility. The Tournament Coordinator WILL NOT GET INVOLVED in any judgment calls an umpire makes. The umpires have been instructed to keep the games moving. Please help them by eliminating meetings before they go out
on the field to play defense. Pitchers in the 7U, 8U and 9U Division will receive eight (8) warm-up pitches to start a game; and when replacing a pitcher. Pitchers in the 7U, 8U and 9U Divisions will receive five (5) pitches between innings. Each pool play game will have a coin flip for home team. Please do not hit baseballs into any fencing around the fields. Make sure to clean out your dugout after each game. Only Managers, Coaches, and players will be allowed in the dugout during the games. No food in the dugouts before, during, or after any game. Once your game has concluded, please delay your post game meeting until your players have cleaned out the dugout, gathered all of their gear and moved it behind the dugout (out of the field of play). This will allow the teams playing next the opportunity to get warmed up and be ready to play their game. Games results will be posted at the check-in table throughout the day and/or behind the backstop at each field. We will post the final scores every evening on the website www.sunrisetournaments.com. Championship Games The higher seed will have their choice of home or visitor.
