It is a public beach, but there are no lifeguards. Walking on the Beach: You can walk north to Point of Rocks (about 1 mile) or walk south of Turtle Beach to Casey Key. Walking on our beach is not as easy as the Siesta Key public beach as you tend to sink slightly more into the sand on our end. On windy days: Sunbathe in the chairs at the end of the cabanas. There is usually much less wind than on the beach. Siesta Key Public Beach Several miles further north is the Siesta Key Public Beach where there is a playground for the kids, miles of easy walking on the beach, lifeguards for swimming, a snack bar, umbrellas and chairs for rent. On Sunday evening is the Drum Circle at sunset which is fun for everyone, children included. Turtle Public Beach Just south of Bay Tree is Turtle Beach, another public beach but without all the amenities of Siesta Key Public Beach. There is a boat and kayak launch there. There are boat and kayak rental companies on Siesta Key who will meet you at Turtle Beach with the rental equipment. (See Rentals below.). Bike Racks
Because of the fire code the stairwells, walkways and laundry rooms must be kept free of any obstruction. Bike racks are located on the south side of the parking lot between the B and C buildings and next to the north entrance of A building parking lot on the right. Bikes may also be kept in the cabanas, but not in or near parking spaces.
