Club Events: Walden Cup January 27 The Ryder Cup winning teams from the MGA and SMGA and the LGA Solheim Cup winning team square off in a match play tournament to see who gets the bragging rights this year? NIGHT GOLF EVENT March 29 Format: 6-Person Scramble. Sign up in the Golf Shop Wacky Thursday! Starting April 25 Thursday Nights at 5:45 PM we have a 9 - Hole event (all holes are Par 3) open to all adult Golf Members. PGA Junior Golf League Starts in May (dates TBD). Walden is a registered club for the PGA Junior Golf League. It is open to all boys and girls ages 8 13. The participants must not reach their 14 th birthday before July 31! All subsequent matches will have a two week time frame to complete. This is a flighted tournament. Junior Golf Camps Open to all Walden Members and grandkids/guests of members. Ages 7 14 Camps start in June: dates and times TBD June 15 Parent/Child 9 HoleTournament 4:00 Shotgun Start Format: Alternate Shot. Any Parent can play with one or more children at the same time. Practice Range: The driving range will be open Tuesday Sunday weather permitting. The range is available for Golf members and their guests. A separate Range Only membership may be purchased by a non- golf member. This membership allows you the use of the range, chipping, pitching and putting green. In season hours of operation: 7:00AM 7:00PM Dress Code for all Golf areas: Golf shirts with a collar. No denim, T-Shirts, Cut-offs, bathing suits or running shorts are allowed on the course or on the range. We recommend that shirts are tucked in and hats worn forward. Golf Etiquette Pace of Play: Players should play without delay. If a group loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it should immediately speed up pace of play, or invite the group following to pass. Golf Carts: Golf carts may be operated by anyone 16 years of age and older, providing that person has a valid driver s license. Carts should always be driven on the cart paths, unless the ninety-degree rule is in effect. Carts can be rented through the Golf Shop. Private golf carts must be registered through the Golf Shop and must be electric, have proper Turf friendly tires and must be insured. The age limit and the ninety degree rule also apply to private carts. To register a private cart, please contact the golf shop. Carts which are not registered with the club may not be used on the course at any time.
Cart Paths and other golf course property: Only golf members who have registered with the golf shop are permitted on the course. Jogging, walking, fishing or other activities other than golf are prohibited! This is for your own safety! Bunkers: Before leaving a bunker, a player should rake and smooth over all irregularities and footprints made by the player. Replace Divots----Repair Ball-Mark Damage: Through the green, a player should ensure that any turf, cut or displaced by the player is filled with sand. Sand is available on all carts. Ball marks on the green shall be repaired. Tee Time Procedures Golf Shop (832) 445-2115 Tee times are required and may be obtained by calling the golf shop. Weekday tee times are scheduled up to seven days in advance. Saturday and Sunday tee times are scheduled 48 hours in advance (Beginning at 8:00 a.m. two days prior to play). Players who do not schedule tee times will be assigned available tee times that have not been reserved. All players must register in the golf shop before commencing play. No standing tee times are permitted Holidays Tee Times: Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Week Christmas and New Years Day Holidays Times - You may make Holiday Tee Times on the Friday prior to the Holiday.
