THE LEON PAUL MENs SABRE CUP Men s Sabre FIE Satellite Event The Leon Paul Cup is open to all male sabreurs, both foreign and British nationals possessing a current FIE Licence. This event is appointed by the FIE as a satellite tournament. 1) Date: Sunday 29 th October 2017 2) Venue: Copper Box Multi-Use Arena Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stratford London E20 3HB 3) Organisers: British Fencing 4) Entries: GBR entries: via www.sport80.com/platform - see separate document for further details Non-GBR entries: must be made through the FIE by their National Federation in accordance with FIE rules (o.54). UNDER FIE RULES NO ENTRIES CAN BE ACCEPTED AT THE EVENT 5) Entry Fee: The entry fee is 30 6) Formula: The competition will be fenced according to the official FIE formula. 7) Programme: Weapon Control: Saturday 28 th October: 12:00 18:00 at the venue. Sunday 29 th October: 07:30-09:00 at the venue. Sunday 29 th October The Leon Paul Cup 07.30 Doors Open 08.30 Final Report Time 09.00 Pools followed by DE 8) Doping: Control may be carried out. 9) Publicity: The FIE Publicity Code will be strictly enforced. 10) FIE Rules: The Competition will run in accordance with the FIE Rules for Competitions. The Directoire Technique will, however, reserve the right to decide, without right of appeal, on any issues not covered by the FIE Rules or by these Rules. 11) Referees: Each country is required to send FIE qualified referees in accordance with FIE rule o.81. Official candidates for FIE refereeing exams may also referee provided they hold a current FIE Fencer s licence (Rule t.35). The names of referees, together with their FIE Category, must be emailed to British Fencing (headoffice@britishfencing.com) 7 days before the event. (With 5-9 fencers 1 referee must be sent, 10 or more fencers requires 2 referees to be sent.) 12) Equipment: A Leon Paul Shop will be available at the Tournament. 13) Accommodation: Booking accommodation is the responsibility of the visiting teams. British Fencing cannot book hotels for delegations.
