2015 SPRING SCHEDULE The Falcons will have a challenging 2015 spring slate which will include tournaments in California, Texas, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. BGSU will open up play at the Barona Collegiate Cup hosted by San Diego State before heading south to take part in the Lone Star Invitational held by UTSA. After competing at the Seahawk Invitational in Gettysburg, Pa., BGSU will host The Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational on April 13-14 at The Greenbrier in West Virginia. The Falcons will then play at the Rutherford Intercollegiate in late April before teeing-off at the 2015 MAC Championship on May 1-3 in Chardon, Ohio. 2015 APRIL REVIEW - 2015 AGGIE INVITATIONAL The Bowling Green State University men s golf team had a very busy month of April, as the Falcons played in a total of three events over the five week span. BGSU played at the highly touted 2015 Aggie Invitational hosted by Texas A&M on April 4-5, then hosted the second annual Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational on April 13-14, before returning to the Rutherford Intercollegiate at Penn State for the second straight year on April 18-19. Sophomore Duo Highlights Falcons Play at the 2015 Aggie Invitational on Saturday Bryan, Texas The sophomore duo of Jose Narro and Brett Rinker paced the Bowling Green State University men s golf team over the first two rounds of play at the highly competitive 2015 Aggie Invitational on Saturday, April 4, at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas. With a strong tournament field, which includes seven top-50 nationally ranked NCAA Division I golf programs, the Falcons ended day one of play in 12th-place overall with a combined 36-hole score of 638, +62. The Falcons, who turned in a first round team score of 312, +24, originally posted a second round team score of 311, +23, yet saw a scorecard error at the end of the round force a Falcon s score to be discredited due to a signing error. Therefore, with his score expunged the Falcons had to count the four other players totals for round two, which bumped the team score up to the 326, +38. Narro continued his strong spring season with rounds of 74, +2, and 75, +3, to finish day one in a tie for 15th-place overall with a 36-hole combined score of 149, +5. The sophomore totaled five birdies and 22 pars over the first day of play. Just six strokes behind Narro is Rinker, who shot a first round 80, +8, before a second round, 75, +3, to conclude day one with a combined two-round score of 155, +11, and in a tie for 43rd-place. The Pennsylvania native posted an eagle and a birdie on the first round of play and tallied 21 pars over both rounds of play on Saturday. Junior Holden Pahr, making his first appearance in the BGSU lineup this spring season, carded rounds of 82, +10, and 86, +14, on Saturday for a combined 36-hole score of 168, +24. With 18 pars over his 36 holes of play, Pahr will enter the final round of play on Sunday in 71st-place overall. Senior Ryan Triller struggled on Saturday, posting his highest two rounds of the year with a first round 84, +12, and a second round 90, +18, to place in 74th-place overall with a combined score of 174, +30. Fellow senior Joe Cooper had a solid day on the links, as he registered a first round 76, +4, and shot a second round 75, +3, before it was negated due to a scorecard error at the conclusion of the round of play. No. 9 Oklahoma, No. 41 Texas A&M, the host institution, and New Mexico State all sit atop of the team leaderboard in a three-way tie for first-place overall with matching two-round combined scores of 590, +14. No. 34 Arkansas (591, +15), No. 7 LSU (595, +19), No. 11 Texas Tech (599, +23) and No. 22 California (604, +28) round out the top-seven of the team standings out of the 13-team field. The final round of play is slated for an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start on Sunday morning, April 5. 12th Bowling Green 312, 326 = 638, +62 T-15th Jose Narro 74, 75 = 149, +5 T-43rd Brett Rinker 80, 75 = 155, +11 71st Holden Pahr 82, 86 = 168, +24 74th Ryan Triller 84, 90 = 174, +30 77th Joe Cooper 76, 0 = 76, -- Seniors Lead Falcons on Final Day of the 2015 Aggie Invitational Bryan, Texas The Bowling Green State University senior pair of Ryan Triller and Joe Cooper led the Falcons to their best team round of the weekend, as BGSU carded a team score of 301, +13, on Sunday to finish the three-round event in 12th-place overall with a 54-hole score of 939, +75, at the 2015 Aggie Invitational held at the Traditions Golf Club in Bryan, Texas. Triller carded a final round 73, +1, while Cooper posted a third round 75, +3, to pace the Falcons on Sunday. The Falcons posted team rounds of 312, 326 and 301 to finish with a score of 939, +75, and a total of 37 strokes ahead of Princeton who finished in 13th-place overall in the 13-team field which included seven top-50 nationally ranked teams. I m proud of the way we played today. We beat a lot of good teams (today) and have had a great trend of having good final rounds this year, commented head coach Kevin Farrell. Jose Narro ended the weekend with a combined score of 226, +10, in a tie for 26th-place overall with a final round of 77, +5, on Sunday, after tallying rounds of 74, +2, and 75, +3, on day one of play. With his two birdies and 10 pars on Sunday, Narro registered seven birdies and a team-high 32 pars over the three rounds of play at the Aggie Invitational. Finishing five strokes behind Narro was fellow Falcon Brett Rinker and his 54-hole score of 231, +15. Rinker shot rounds of 80, 75 and 76 over the two days of play to finish in a tie for 38th-place overall. The sophomore recorded one eagle, four birdies and 31 pars on the weekend. After posting his highest two scores of the season on Saturday, Triller bounced back to shoot a BGSU low team round of 73, +1, over the final round of play on Sunday. The senior stepped up in a big way for the Falcons, as he carded four birdies and nine pars over his final 18-holes of play. Totaling five birdies and 24 pars over his 54-holes of play, Triller finished in 68th-place overall with a combined score of 247, +31. Placing in a tie for 71st-place overall with a 54-hole score of 255, +39, was junior Holden Pahr. Pahr wrapped up his weekend of play with a round of 87, +15, after rounds of 82, +10, and 86, +14, on Saturday. Pahr finished with two birdies and 22 pars for the event. Following a scorecard error at the end of round two yesterday, which erased his round of 75, +3, Cooper rebounded to shoot another 75, +3, on Sunday to give the Falcons four individual scores in the 70 s to count towards its team score on the day. The senior had three birdies and 10 pars over his final 18 holes of play. No. 9 Oklahoma (884, +20) edged No. 11 Texas Tech (887, +23) for the team championship by just three strokes, while No. 34 (888, +24) finished in thirdplace overall. No. 7 LSU (891, +21) and No. 41 Texas A&M (894, +30) rounded out the top-five on the team leaderboard. K.K. Limbhasut of California, the lone golfer to shoot under par for the three-round event, earned the individual medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 214, -2 under par, for the tournament. Bowling Green will return to competition in just over a week, as the Falcons will host the second Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational at the Old White TPC Course at The Greenbrier on April 13-14 in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. 12th Bowling Green 312, 326, 301 = 939, +75 T-26th Jose Narro 74, 75, 77 = 226, +10 T-38th Brett Rinker 80, 75, 76 = 231, +15 68th Ryan Triller 84, 90, 73 = 247, +31 T-71st Holden Pahr 82, 86, 87 = 255, +39 77th Joe Cooper 76, 0*, 75 = 151 * (second round score negated due to scorecard error)

2015 APRIL REVIEW - THE GREENBRIER COLLEGIATE INVITE The Bowling Green State University men s golf team had a very busy month of April, as the Falcons played in a total of three events over the five week span. Falcons End Day One in Ninth at The Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia Bowling Green State University men s golf team posted team rounds of 294 and 292 to end day one of play at The Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational in ninth-place overall on Monday at the par 70, 7,287-yards Old White TPC golf course in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The Falcons posted a first round 294, +14, on the morning session and then a second round 292, +12, in the afternoon to conclude day one in ninth-place overall with a two-round combined team score of 586, +26. Although we didn t have our A game today, the event went great and things ran smoothly, commented head coach Kevin Farrell. We got off to a slow start to start the first round and just couldn t get things going our way. We will regroup tonight and come out and play tougher tomorrow. Senior Joe Cooper led the Falcons on Monday, as the lefty carded rounds of 72, +2, and 71, +1, to finish the day with a 36-hole score of 143, +3. Cooper totaled three birdies and 27 pars over his first 36 holes of play to sit in a tie for 12th-place overall heading into the final round of play on Tuesday. Behind Cooper were sophomores Jose Narro and Brett Rinker. Narro turned in back-to-back rounds of 73, +3, to finish in a tie for 26th-place overall with a two-round combined score of 146, +6, while Rinker posted rounds of 73, +3, and 74, +4, to find himself one stroke behind Narro and in a tie for 32nd-place overall with a combined score of 147, +7. Narro ended day one with two birdies and matched Cooper with 27 pars on the day. Rinker totaled three birdies and 25 pars on Monday. Rounding out the lineup for BGSU was freshman Cameron Michalak, who carded a two-round combined score of 150, +10, and senior Ryan Triller with a 36-hole score of 157, +17. Michalak turned in rounds of 76, +6, and 74, +4, which included a team-high four birdies and 21 pars, to wrap up day one in a tie for 46th-place overall. No. 37 nationally ranked East Tennessee State University sits atop of the 13- team leaderboard with a combined score of 566, +6, while Eastern Kentucky is just one stroke behind the ETSU Bucs with a team score of 567, +7. Marshall and Old Dominion are tied for third-place overall with identical team scores of 571, +11. Va. With the wash out of the third round of play, the scores will revert back to the 36-hole scores from yesterday s two rounds of play. Therefore, the Falcons finished in ninth-place overall with rounds of 294, +14, and 292, +12, on Monday to turn in a two-round combined team score of 586, +26. Senior Joe Cooper finished in a tie for 12th-place overall with rounds of 72, +2, and 71, +1, for a 36-hole score of 143, +3, while Jose Narro turned in back-to-back rounds of 73, +3, to finish in a tie for 26th-place overall with a two-round combined score of 146, +6. No. 37 nationally ranked East Tennessee State University went on to win the second annual event out of the 13-team field with a combined two-round team score of 566, +6, while Eastern Kentucky finished just stroke behind the ETSU Bucs with a team score of 567, +7. Marshall and Old Dominion ended up tied for third-place overall with identical team scores of 571, +11. ETSU s Gudmund Kristjansson, Eastern Kentucky s Jared Brown and Elon s Jonathan Dilanni all finished in a tie for firstplace overall in the rain shortened event. 2015 APRIL REVIEW - 2015 RUTHERFORD INTERCOLLEGIATE The Bowling Green State University men s golf team had a very busy month of April, as the Falcons played in a total of three events over the five week span. Falcons Have an Up and Down Day at the 2015 Rutherford Intercollegiate State College, Pennsylvania The Bowling Green State University men s golf team had a tale of two rounds on Saturday, as the Falcons posted a first round score of 294 in the morning session, yet struggled in the second round with a score of 304 to end day one in seventh-place overall at the 2015 Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State University in State College, Pa. With their first round team score of 294, +10, the Falcons headed into the second round of play in a tie for second-place overall. However, as a team, BGSU struggled over the second set of 18 holes to card a score of 304, +20, and end day one with a two-round score of 598, +30. The Falcons will head into the final day of play on Sunday in seventh-place overall out of the 12 team field and only 13 strokes out of the top-three spots on the team leaderboard. The guys got off to a great start today through the first 15 holes then let their bad finish in the first round bring negative vibes to the second round, which was the worst round of the year by far with no competitive drive and no thinking, commented head coach Kevin Farrell. If we play like that at the MAC s we will not finish as high as we would like or are capable of doing. A trio of Falcons in Jose Narro, Joe Cooper and Brett Rinker all concluded day one inside the top-20. Narro bounced back from a first round 76, +5, to shoot a second round 72, +1, to finish Saturday in a tie for 15th-place overall with a two-round combined score of 148, +6. Cooper carded a BGSU low round 70, -1 under par, over the first round of play, yet couldn t carry over the momentum into the second round where he turned in an 18-hole score of 79, +8, to end day one in a tie for 18th-place overall with a 36-hole score of 149, +7. Tied with Cooper in 18th-place is Rinker, as the sophomore and Pennsylvania native posted rounds of 73, +2, and 76, +5, en route to his first day score of 149, +7. BGSU senior Ryan Triller recorded rounds of 75, +4, and 77, +6, to finish with a 36-hole score of 152, +10, while freshman Cameron Michalak posted scores of 82, +11, and 80, +9, for a combined two-round score of 162, +20. Triller and Michalak will enter the third and final round of play on Sunday in 34th and 71st-place, respectively. Host Penn State leads after day one of play, as the Nittany Lions turned in a tournament low round 276, -8 under par, over the second round of play to end day one in first-place overall with a two-round combined team score of 572, +4. Eastern Michigan (579, +11) and Rutgers (585, +17) round out the top-three on the team leaderboard, sitting in second and third-place, respectively. 7th Bowling Green 294, 304 = 598, +30 T-15th Jose Narro 76, 72 = 148, +6 T-18th Joe Cooper 70, 79 = 149, +7 T-18th Brett Rinker 73, 76 = 149, +7 T-34th Ryan Triller 75, 77 = 152, +10 71st Cameron Michalak 82, 80 = 162, +20 Falcons Climb Two Spots to Take Fifth at the 2015 Rutherford Intercollegiate State College, Pennsylvania All five Falcon golfers posted a final round in the 70 s on Sunday, as the Bowling Green State University men s golf team climbed up two spots on the final day of play to take fifth-place overall with a combined team score of 895, +43, at the 2015 Rutherford Intercollegiate hosted by Penn State University at the Penn State Golf Course Blue Course in State College, Pa. The Falcons turned in rounds of 294, 304 and 297 to end the two-day event in fifth-place out of the 12 team field with a combined score of 895, +43. BGSU finished just two strokes out of fourth-place and only nine strokes out of the top-three. We have had an up and down year, but can still be a sleeper going into the MAC Championship Tournament in a few weeks, commented head coach Kevin Farrell. We are going to work hard these next two weeks and prepare for the MAC s because this year it is wide open and any team can get hot, play well, and win the tournament. Dear BGSU Golf Alumni and Fans, This year has been an up and down type of year. We are constantly focusing on becoming more consistent. The schedule that we played was by far one of the toughest in the MAC. I cannot thank all the former Falcon golfers enough that continue to help us and support us. I am extremely excited to see what the team can do at the MAC Championships and for the incoming recruits we have coming in this Fall. Please keep in mind that there will be a fundraiser on October 16, 2015, at Belmont Country Club. It will be Homecoming weekend, so it would be a great opportunity to come back to BG!
