A meal will not be served for this meeting. This means that it is not necessary for you to call for reservations to this meeting. At the July Membership Meeting, Ken Dowling was the lucky attendance winner. Gayle Chase, will be collecting dues for 2017 after the meeting. 2017 annual dues are $25 per year. Those members that have paid their dues will benefit by receiving a newsletter mailed to their door or email- Sale of the Building O n September 7, 2017, the papers were signed on the sale of the Melvindale Club building. The sale price was $95,000.00. The check was issued and the balance, after the commissions and closing costs were de- ing your newsletter every quarter, also you are entitled to receive a $2 reduction in a SAC dance ticket. This has been a 15 month ordeal, and I would like to thank Allison Fishwich of Howard Hanna Reality for all of her advice and direction in this sale. Michael Masten, vp any thanks to our M hosts Lyskawa VFW and KofC Monsignor Hunt! There was a tremendous amount of work on their part to pull off this event. For instance, Bob Olesko hunted down donations for prizes and food, and the VFW provided a grand hall for SAC musicians to play and a well-stocked bar! SAC provided 80+ attendees and the many donations to the dessert tables. Ted Harris donated his own corn and tomatoes for all to enjoy. Thank you for the donations of food, entertainment, and to everyone that made the picnic such a successful event. A SAC Holiday Dinner Dance is now scheduled for Sunday, December 10th, 2017. Watch for a flyer that will be posted as soon as a band has been booked for this event. Be sure to mark your calendars for the date!! 1

Volume 91, Issue 3 Donations IN MEMORY OF: Janice Angebrandt, from Bob & Liz Kiss, a donation of $20.00. General Donations: All Board Members have donated their quarterly salaries (total of $1260) back to the club. Mike Masten & Gayle Chase donated a 32 flat screen TV for the August 20th picnic value $195. Nick Wlyhorsky, a gentleman that was attending a class reunion at the VFW Friday, Sept 1st, donated $40 to the SAC Button Box Band because his group enjoyed the music. Viktor & Wanda Zakrajsek, donated a gift basket for the raffle. SAC donated 6 bottles of liquor for the raffle. Julie Elster, donated a bottle of liquor for the raffle. Amelia (Mea) Scianna donated music cassette tapes for SAC to sell during the picnic. Some of the bands that donated their time & talents at the picnic: The Good Times Orchestra The Rob DeBlander Band George Gojtan & Vincl Rezler & Branko Spahich All the musicians are part of the SAC Button Box Band The Club thanks everyone for their generous donations. NEWS Recent Deceased And Sick Members Deceased Members: Frank Tehovnik, husband of member Carolyn Tehovnik & father of member Michael Tehovnik, died 8/18/17, at age 88. Frank was a SAC member for 67 yrs. Deceased Family of Members: Theresa Walters, mother-in-law to member Jay Kollin, and mother to Mary Kay Kollin, died 8/23/17 at age 90. Our own button box club will be performing after the dinner. Non-members are also invited, for the nominal fee of the dinner! At our Friday, October 13th meeting at 7 pm, we will be voting on reducing the club dues with music afterwards. Please attend these events if at all possible to have a say in the club s operation! 2
