On Nov. 10, 2012, Mission Valley Aquatics is auctioning off a ton of items, big and small, in an effort to pay for the construction of the new aquatic center. Among the exciting larger items we ve had donated are a residential lot on Skyview Drive in Polson and a trip for two to LA (airfare and hotel included) to watch the filming of a Live NFL on Fox pre-game show, courtesy of Howie and Diane Long. You will find many more great things to bid on at the event including local art and services, exquisite home furnishings, ski and stay packages and Griz tickets, just to name a few! There will be a silent auction during dinner, starting at 4 p.m. You can enjoy delicious soup prepared by our local restaurants in beautiful hand-painted bowls made by local artists and community members. The live auction will begin at 7 p.m. Here s the list of auction items collected so far. When Skyla is not busy walking dogs for resort residents, she is out at the barn near her home practicing her riding skills with her trusty horse, Sprite. The two of them have been riding in competition together for the past 3 years. Skyla has a room full of ribbons for events she has placed in. The pictures above were taken by our staff photographer, Jan Myers who loves attending Skyla s events whenever she can. Several of the resort owners have also made the trip to Rebecca Farms in Kalispell to cheer on Skyla and Sprite. If you d like to donate an item to MVA, call us at (406) 883-4567 or email mvaquatics@polson.net. For more information you can visit their website at www.mvaquatics.org.
