ARCHERY NOW A YEAR ROUND ACTIVITY There is now a new schedule and place for archery. Shooting will be on Tuesday evenings starting at 6:00 PM. We will now shoot year round and not take a break during hunting season. The new location for the archery range is on the 100 competition rifle range. (east of the public line) We start shooting at 6:00 but your help in getting set up before that is appreciated. 3-D targets and bag or block targets will be available to shoot. You must pass a shooting proficiency test to shoot at the 3-D targets. The fee is $5.00 and shooters under 18 are free. Any type of bow can be used but the arrows must be tipped with field or target points (no broadheads). If you are a club member, and wish to shoot your bow during the time the range is open to the public, contact one of the discipline leaders for information. Action Pistol Events at the WAC Want to Shoot your handgun fast and accurately? Want to learn how to safely draw and shoot on the move? If so, come check out Action Pistol! We have divisions for every gun, from revolver through to open guns. We shoot using USPSA rules and divisions. (www.uspsa.org for details.) Recreational Program This program meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. This program is designed as an introductory program and will expose participants to various shooting disciplines. In addition, safety classes can be arranged for private groups. Check us out on Facebook WAC Junior Shooting Competitive Program This program meets twice a week on Monday and Tuesday evening from 6:15 PM to approximately 8:30 PM. This program focuses on the Air Rifle & Smallbore Rifle (.22) in the competitive fields. The minimum age for this program is 12 years, a person is still considered a junior through the year of their 20th birthday, Our focus is on the Olympic events that are also shot at the collegiate level. This program prepares participants to shoot in competitions and laso gives them the skills & knowledge necessary to shoot in college if that is their desire. We can accommodate older participants as well. Juniors that are interested in the action pistol sports enjoy a session of drills and training every 2nd Saturday of the month. Occasionally juniors can also get special training from many of the top shooters in the country as they visit our facility. 23rd Annual Bay Area Friends of NRA Banquet Howdy, Friends of the NRA, We would like to welcome you to participate in the 23rd Annual Bay Area Chapter of the Friends of NRA Fund-raiser banquet. If you are new to our event, this is to let you know of the various levels of participation. As for our loyal members from previous events, this is merely an update. We have changed our packages somewhat from previous years, added raffle and drawing packages at a big savings, if ordered early, and have a bigger selection of guns and articles for the auctions, games and drawings. This year s Bay Area Chapter Sponsorship package starts with the Basic Package for (1) $110.00, Bronze Package for (2) $200.00, Silver Package for (4) $350.00 and Gold Package for (8) $650.00. All packages include dinner tickets, 2 sheets (5 tickets per sheet) of bucket drawing tickets and 1 ticket for the sponsor only gun. This year s table packages include $350.00 Supporters Couple Package, $1200.00 Patriot Table Package for 8, $2500.00 Benefactor Table Package for 8 and $5000.00 Table of the Year for 8. Fill your table with guests by purchasing individual dinner tickets $50.00 per person, or take a look at the Bay Area Chapter Sponsorship Packages, which includes seating for larger groups. Besides a great dinner with friends, there will be lots of raffles, drawings and games for merchandise and guns. Donors of hunting or fishing trips, merchandise and/or underwriting merchandise in excess of $300.00 will receive up to a full page of free advertising plus a dinner ticket. Size will be determined by the items value or the amount donated prior to the banquet so Dig Deep! Your company banner can be hung as well for additional cost.
