Worcester Ladies RFC Sponsorship Pack 2015 Worcester Ladies are now in their 23rd successful season. Having worked their way up the leagues, they became the first Worcester side to gain Premiership status and in 2012-2013 were crowned Women s Premiership Champions! Worcester RFC Ladies Section has grown in size and we now field two teams, with the 1st team competing in the Women s Premiership and the 2nd team competing in the RFU Women s National Championship Midlands 2. We also played two league matches on the Sixways stadium pitch in 2014/2015, straight after Worcester Warriors matches giving fantastic brand coverage and secured third position in the English Women s Premiership. Photos by AJB Photographic Worcester has a proud tradition on the International stage with 6 current England Internationals, 3 Scotland Internationals and 2 Welsh International in the squad. We also have 4 current England U20 Internationals and 5 players who represented England at the recent Rugby World Cup, who were of course crowned world champions. We would like to invite local organisations who wish to be associated with this type of success to help support us in the way of sponsorship to enable us to continue to produce internationals of the future while offering local ladies the opportunity to play rugby at the highest level.
Media and Press Coverage Media interest and press coverage has been unprecedented during the last few years but a significant spike in activity has been seen this year which can be partly attributable to the World Cup victory but it is also due to the increase in the profile of the women s game as a whole. With our dedicated media team, the 2014/2015 season saw us again feature regularly in printed and online press outlets such as Express and Star, Worcester News, Worcester Observer, Worcester Warriors programmes, Women s Sport UK & Talking Rugby Union. We have also featured in several television programmes which saw us being filmed live for a BBC Midlands today feature and also in a national feature for BBC s Sunday Politics Show. BBC Hereford and Worcester have interviewed several players during the season and we were also proud to be asked to take part in the This Girl Can campaign. Social Media Our social media following is strong with a high activity of likes, shares and retweets. We currently boast 1,693 followers on Twitter and 400 likes on Facebook (As at 31/05/15). A popular women s rugby news channel, Scrumqueens regularly retweets our content to a following of 11,900 along with other well followed rugby news feeds. Our matches are also recorded and released on Youtube (highlights) and Vimeo (full game) which are watched by approximately 200 viewers after matches.
