THE MACKENZIE TOUR PGA TOUR CANADA A series of 12 tournaments played across Canada each summer, where tomorrow s stars begin their path to the PGA TOUR. The Mackenzie Tour s mission is to deliver a PGA TOUR experience for members, fans, volunteers, and partners to develop the future stars of professional golf and enrich the communities we visit. ATB FINANCIAL CLASSIC August 6-12, 2018 Mackenzie Hughes Mackenzie Tour Alum PGA TOUR Winner The second tournament on the Alberta swing of The Mackenzie Tour PGA Tour Canada, the ATB Financial Classic, will be hosted at the prestigious Country Hills Golf Club in Calgary, AB. 2018 will mark the 12th year of the ATB Financial Classic being hosted in the Calgary area.. The ATB Financial Classic is a not for profit event operated by the Western Canadian Golf Foundation. 19 players have gone on from the Mackenzie Tour to earn PGA TOUR cards since 2013, including at least 15 for the 2017-18 season. Mackenzie Hughes and Nick Taylor went from playing on the Mackenzie Tour to winning on the PGA TOUR in 14 months. 66 players who played on the Mackenzie Tour from 2013-2016 had Web.com Tour status in 2017. Three PGA TOUR-era alumni (Mackenzie Hughes, Tony Finau and Nick Taylor) have gone on to win on the PGA TOUR. 29% of players at the 2016 Final Stage of Web.com Tour Q-School were Mackenzie Tour alumni.
STAMPEDERS FOUNDATION The PGA TOUR and ATB Financial Classic share vision of giving back to the community. Since inception, the PGA TOUR has contributed over $2,200,000,000 to local charities, while the ATB Financial Classic has contributed more than $500,000 to Southern Alberta Charities. Proceeds from the 2018 ATB Financial Classic will support the Stampeders Foundation, a community and charitable initiative dedicated to improving the lives of Calgarians and Albertans in both Central and Southern Alberta.
