Howdy everyone.if you missed "Smithy's Revenge", you missed a good one. It was a little breezy but the sun was out and it wasn't hot. It was a long shoot (we had five stages) but most of the shooters had a good time. There were two posses as we had 29 shooters. The award winners were: First Place - JJ Second Place - William Marks Third Place - Reno Slim He is not very big but he sure is stable on those four big legs. Thanks to Sam & Winchester for finding this stumpy little bugger and getting him/her ready for the shoot. Elections (for club officers) are coming up in July. Please start thinking about becoming a member of the Board of Directors. This is your club and it needs your help to keep going along in the "cowboy way". If you're interested, please contact any of the standing board members. As always, everyone is welcome to attend our monthly business meetings held on the second Monday (of each month) at 7:30 pm. Keep your powder dry and guns cleaned! - Shotgun Marshal THE CLUB WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND OUR DEEPEST Sympathy TO THE FAMILY OF Keith Robertson (Doc. Higley) who passed away 1-20-11 Congratulation to these fine shooters. Dewy Boggs won the holster raffle and seemed very pleased with himself. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy (unless it happened to me, of course). We used some "new-to-us" score cards during this shoot and they seemed to work out very well. I liked the idea that we didn't have to shoot the stages in any set order. We had a couple of weapon malfunctions but all-in-all, it went great. Sam did a bang-up job setting this match up (as always). We had a new addition of "?" the horse. 4 th Bull Moose (Don Shiffer 5 th Katt R Wallen (Judy Williams 7 th Ol Belle (Nancy McCay) 13 th Kalamity Karen (Karen Votraw) 13 th Ohio (Gary Murray) 17 th Dewey Boggs (Paul Kowalek) 30 th Boo Boo (Don Torguson) 31 st Longarm (Burt Dull) sss-2011-04-newsletter.docx Pg: 2 of 8

Howdy cowboy and cowgirls... Hope you all enjoyed the stages for Smithy s Revenge, as it was really fun putting this on. This is always a long day, and a lot of shooting, and I am sure a lot of you had sore arms from all the different guns and the amount of ammo used. First I need to thank Winchester for helping me make our horse, it sure was sturdy, and everyone was able to mount and dismount with no problems (just watch your spurs!!) Now we need a name for the horse, so send in your names, and we will let you know next newsletter who came up with the best name. Thanks to everyone for helping set this up and of course taking it all down. It was a long day, but a good fun day. Welcome to our newest shooter, Blackjack Slim, sure hope he had a good time and will come back again. Remember the Buffalo Shoot is next month, the weekend after our regular shoot. Come on out and camp with us, as we usually go up Thursday to set up. This is a long weekend also, but A LOT OF FUN. Kate and I bring our tent up so we can eat without all the wind and cold, set up the heater and sit and eat all the good food everyone brings out for the nights potluck. After most of us sit around the campfire and tell a lot of tall tales, and just have fun. Remember to bring enough to share with the other for Saturday night. We usually have a LOT of food, so no one goes hungry. BLACKJACK SLIM (JOHN MONTESANTO) NOMINATIONS REMEMBER WE NEED YOU TO NOMINATE MEMBERS WHO YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE SERVE OUR CLUB AS PRESIDNT, VICE PRESIDENT, SECRETARY, SERGEANT AT ARMS AND MEMBERS AT LARGE BY THE FIRST OF JULY. THIS IS YOUR CLUB, SO PLEASE SEND IN YOUR THOUGHTS. YOU MUST DRESS COWBOY TO SHOOT AND SIGHT-IN. See you all next month; keep your powder dry Sam sss-2011-04-newsletter.docx Pg: 3 of 8
