Our clinic will focus on cheerleading skills such as cheers, chants, and motions. The clinic will be supervised by three coaches, booster club parents, and Armstrong Cheerleaders. This fundraiser will support the Armstrong Cheerleading team. Registration Fee and Deadline: $40.00 per participant. Registration fee includes a t-shirt, hair bow, dinner, and admission to the basketball game for the participant and one family member. Additional family members and friends will have to pay the $7.00/adult ($5.00/student) admission fee to the game on February 3rd. One form per child please. Photocopies are acceptable. Details for February 1st Check in will begin at 4:30 pm in the main foyer of Armstrong High School. Snack will be provided. Please allow yourself enough time for check-in, prior to the start of camp. The students will be escorted to the gym to learn the halftime routine for the basketball game. Details for February 3 rd Check in will begin at 4:45 pm in the main foyer of Armstrong High School Dinner will be served for participants. Participants will by sitting with the cheerleaders during the first half of the game and perform during half-time. You are welcome to take your child home after the performance or stay to watch the game. Other Information: Proper athletic attire must be worn, including athletic shoes. No hooded sweatshirts or very baggy clothing please. Absolutely no jewelry of any kind will be allowed to be worn by the participants. Winter Activities Sponsored by New Hope Parks and Recreation Crazy Catapults Youth ages 8-12, the kingdom needs you! Your task is to determine the best castle construction to protect the walls against a marshmallow catapult. You'll build your own simple catapults to test your castle walls and to practice your skills of trajectory and accuracy! Family Snowshelters Explore the different techniques used to build igloos, snow caves, and quinzhees. Then build a quinzhee with our instructors. This program is for ages 7 and over. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a partnership program with the Three Rivers Park District. Dress to be outdoors the entire time. Juggling Youth ages 8-13, learn how to juggle in this fun new class! Learn the basic three ball pattern called "the cascade", plus for advanced beginners, work on learning tricks! Equipment is provided, and fee includes juggling balls you get to take home. Youth ages 8 and over will explore the history of snowshoeing and the different styles that are commonly used. After an inside introduction, participants will head outside with a naturalist to explore and make some tracks! No experience necessary. Bring your own snowshoes or use ours. After snowshoeing, warm up by the fire while making s'mores!
