QUAIL CREEK SUBDIVISION 2000 Olvey Drive, Mandeville, LA 70448 quailcreekboard@gmail.com QUAIL CREEK RECREATIONAL FACILITIES RULES & REGULATIONS INTRODUCTION The Quail Creek Recreational Facilities are for the exclusive use of the Quail Creek Subdivision property owners and renters. Association dues (including late fees, legal fees, etc.) must be current to use the facilities. Our facilities include a pool (plus wading pool), two tennis courts, sports field, picnic area, ponds, clubhouse and a playground. The clubhouse has a common room, an office, restrooms, and a kitchen equipped with stove, refrigerator, and a microwave oven. We have wonderful facilities that we can use and appreciate. Therefore, the following rules and regulations apply to all individuals to insure enjoyable and safe times in Quail Creek. Members are responsible for knowing and complying with all rules and regulations. I. RULES & REGULATIONS FOR THE POOL The Quail Creek Pool is a Swim at your Own Risk Facility, although, Lifeguards are on duty from May 1 st through Labor Day. 1. POSITIVELY NO DIVING IN THE POOL. Diving may result in serious injury or death. Positively no somersaults, flips, climbing on or diving off the lifeguard stand. These acrobatics may result in serious injury or death. RUNNING ON POOL DECK IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. 2. Pool dates and hours vary somewhat annually. Schedules will be announced via association emails. Daylight Savings- March 11 th November 4 th : Pool opens at 6am and closes at 10pm on all days except on Mondays and Fridays. Friday the pool will open at noon and Mondays the pool will be closed for deep cleaning and chemical treatments. The pool will be open on Monday holidays. 7pm. Standard Time- November 5 th March 9, 2019: Same as above but pool closes at Pool will resume Daylight Savings hours March 10, 2019. QCPOA Recreational Facilities Rules and Regulations 2
Pool Lifeguard Schedule: Monday: Pool Closed for major cleaning Tuesday: Noon-6pm Wednesday: Noon-6pm Thursday: Noon-6pm Friday: Pool closed for a small clean in the morning. Noon-10pm Saturday: 10am- 8pm Sunday: 10am-6pm 3. FOOD IS ALLOWED INSIDE THE FENCED POOL AREA. Food is limited to the picnic area inside the pool area, under the clubhouse overhang. 4. Children Twelve (12) years old and younger will not be permitted in the pool area without adult supervision. Children Thirteen (13) years and older may be permitted in the pool area without adult supervision, provided a lifeguard is present. No one under 18 is allowed in the pool or pool area unless a lifeguard or parent/adult over 18 is with them. 5. Wading pool is for age six (6) and under. 6. Residents must have a community issued key card to enter the pool and the clubhouse bathrooms. Replacement key cards may be purchased from the Association for $50.00 per key card. A maximum of 2 key cards per household may be issued. Any resident who gives their key card to a non-resident or a resident not in good standing may have their pool/clubhouse privileges revoked for the entire swim season. 7. Residents in good standing that are current on dues, and free of fines, legal fees, and violations may use the pool without charge. Guests (non-residents) must be accompanied by a resident. 8. No pets of any kind are permitted in the pool or the clubhouse area. 9. No smoking is permitted inside the Clubhouse or fenced pool area at any time. 10. Glass items and chewing gum are not permitted in or around the pool area. 11. A lost & found bin is located on the patio. Unclaimed items will be discarded at the end of each month. 12. No hard balls, tennis balls or squirt guns will be allowed in the pool. Water wings on small children are allowed under strict parental supervision. Soft nerf balls, diving rings, some games and very small flotation rings will be allowed. QCPOA Recreational Facilities Rules and Regulations 3
13. Violent behavior, property damage, improper usage of pool furniture, and/or vulgar language, loud or explicit music will not be tolerated. Improper behavior may result in loss of pool privileges. 14. Rescue equipment must not be handled or tampered with except in case of emergencies. 15. During inclement weather or when bad pool conditions exist, the pool may be closed and swimmers must leave the pool area. Continuous lightning and storm conditions may close the pool for the remainder of the day. This will ultimately be up to the SafeWater lifeguard who is present and/or their supervisor. 16. Trash must be properly disposed of in trash receptacles. Failure to clean up after oneself may result in the pool area having to be closed for cleaning. 17. The common area, kitchen and offices of the Clubhouse will be locked during pool hours. 18. Pool parties can ONLY be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We have 457 homes and our pool does not have the capacity for residents and guests on the weekends, which is when most of our residents use the pool. Pool birthday parties for children are not permitted in the picnic/pool area during pool hours, unless the clubhouse has been rented for the party and extra Safewater lifeguard(s) has been hired by the party host. The parties should be limited to fifteen (15) children or less. To rent the clubhouse, please contact GNO Property Management at (504) 528-7028. Food, drink and clean-up rules must be followed. ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED and can be made with the reservations manager at GNO. 19. All bikes, scooters, skateboards etc. must be parked outside of the pool area. 20. Pool furniture is not to be moved outside of the pool fence. 21. POSITIVELY NO ONE ALLOWED IN THE POOL DURING CLOSED HOURS. CLIMBING ON OR OVER THE FENCE SURROUNDING THE POOL IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. VIOLATORS MAY HAVE POOL PRIVILEGES REVOKED AND FINES ASSESSED. 22. It is not recommended that parents leave the subdivision when their children are at the pool in the event of an accident or emergency. 23. If you move the pool furniture, please return it to its original location before leaving the pool area. If you use an umbrella, please close the umbrella before leaving the pool area or at times of inclement weather, to prevent damage. 24. Babies and toddlers must wear rubber pants or diapers made especially for swimming. QCPOA Recreational Facilities Rules and Regulations 4
25. In order to obtain a key card, you must sign and return the attached Rules and Regulations Agreement to GNO Property Management. These forms may be returned via mail, email to diane@gnoproperty.com or fax (504) 566-4795. A representative will mail a key card to your residence upon receipt. Residents must be in good standing with the Association (dues, late fees, legal fees, violation fees) to obtain a key card. 26. If you recognize behavior that is dangerous or could cause damage, and you have photo evidence, please email to dj@gnoproperty.com. Your anonymity will be protected. Anyone observed breaking pool rules should be reported immediately to GNO Property Management at 504-528-7028, or via email at dj@gnoproperty.com or president@quailcreekpoa.com. Breaking the rules may result in loss of pool privileges and a fine up to $200.00. 27. Lifeguards are the ultimate authority in the pool area. Please respect their authority. If you, your family, or guests are ordered to leave the area, do so immediately, and if you fail to comply, pool privileges may be revoked and fines may be assessed. 28. Do not let in anyone who doesn t have their own pool card that is not a part of your group at the pool. If their card doesn t work, it is likely because they have an infraction of some sort. Direct them to call GNO for further details. The recreation facilities including the pool are under video surveillance and anyone caught letting someone else in may face suspensions or fines themselves. I am a property owner in Quail Creek Subdivision or renter in Quail Creek Subdivision and take full responsibility for insuring the rules are followed during my usage. I release Quail Creek Property Owners Association of all liability for damage or injury that may occur during my usage and I will be responsible for repairing such damage. I understand that if I violate the rules and regulations my Pool and/or Clubhouse privileges may be suspended. My dues (including any late fees, legal fees, etc.) are current.
