Ponies will be measured yearly until the animal has reached the age of six ( 6 ), at which time the pony will receive a Permanent Measurement Card. The card must be presented to the show secretary at the time of entry or must be on the Master List of Pony Measurement. Any NPHA Steward may measure a pony at an NPHA event. Ponies must be measured ( 1 ) hour prior to competing in order for the points to count. NPHA will accept a Permanent Pony Measurement Card that has been issued by USEF. In the case of a protest, all ponies entered in the NPHA pony class at the show in question will be measured including those with permanent cards issued by USEF. 4

STAKES PAYBACK INFORMATION If there are less than six (6 ) entries in any stake class, only first place will pay back 20% of the total entry fees for that stake class in all shows. The entire division must be entered to be eligible for a Stake Class unless specified on prize list. No Exhibiters, trainers nor spectators will be permitted to speak directly to a judge (s) without making arrangements with the steward. Unless otherwise stated, all NPHA rules will be followed as per the 2010 NPHA Rule Book. A copy of the book will be available at the secretary s stand for references purposes. 5
NPHA CLASS RULES Hunter Conformation Class To be shown in hand at walk & trot. To be judged on conformation, way of going, disposition and manners. English Lead Line Open to junior riders ( 7 ) years of age and under. Judged on suitability of mount and presentation. Riders may be asked to trot. Incorrect diagonals not to count. Mini Stirrup Divisions Riders ( 10 ) and younger. This is a walk/trot division. May only cross enter into other walk/trot divisions. Short Stirrup Division Riders ( 12 ) and under. This is an equitation division X-Rails not to exceed 2. Trotting over fences will be penalized. May cross into Beginner Hunter Rider, Children s Pleasure and eligible Western. Long Stirrup Division Riders ( 13 ) and over including adult amateurs. This is an equitation division. X-rails not to exceed 2. Trotting over fences will be penalized. May cross into Beginner Hunter Rider, Children s Pleasure and eligible Western. Children s Equitation Open to junior riders. Course of ( 6 ) obstacles, change of lead required, fences not to exceed 2 6. ** Open Walk/Trot Equitation - Open to riders of any age. This is a walk/trot division for beginner riders. Pre-Children s Equitation Open to junior riders and equitation riders. May not cross over into lower fence divisions once they have moved up to higher fence division. Modified Adult Equitation Open to all adult amateur riders. Change of lead is not required. Fences not to exceed 2. Trotting not to be penalized. Riders may not cross enter into any division where fences exceed 2. Suitable Hunter Open to horses and ponies. Fences not to exceed 2 3. Adults may ride ponies. Starting Hunter Horse/Pony Open to horses/ponies in their 1 st year of showing over fences not to exceed 2. Trotting will not be penalized. May cross enter into Green Hunter, Basic Hunter And Pleasure division. Beginner Rider Hunter Riders may only cross enter into Short or Long Stirrup and Pleasure divisions ( if Eligible ). Green Hunter Division Open to horses and ponies in their first of second year of showing on a course of 2 3 fences. Adults may ride ponies. Working Hunter Division Open to horses and ponies. Adults may ride ponies. Fences not to exceed 3. Schooling Hunter Division Open to horses and ponies. Fences not to exceed 2 6. Adults may ride ponies. Children s Pleasure Division Open to junior riders. To be judged on suitability, manners and performance. Puddle Jumpers Open to horses and ponies. To be scored in accordance with the current USEF rule book. Fences at 2 6. Jumpers Open to horses and ponies. To be scored in accordance with the current USEF rule book. 6
ABERDEEN STABLES 2010 RULES Negative Coggins dated January 1, 2010 or later. All pets must be leashed and or restrained at all times. Show Committee, volunteers, and NPHA will not be responsible for any loss or injury to any person, horse or property incurred on any show grounds. All English riders MUST wear protective SEI Safety helmet while mounted on show grounds. Proper attire is recommended. All Lead Line and Junior riders and Gymkhana Riders MUST wear SEI approved helmets on show grounds. The Show Committee (s) reserves the right to combine, cancel, move classes, change officials or adjust the time schedule if necessary. There will be a one minute ring call for each class, strictly enforced! Failure to respond will result in elimination. Show secretary must be notified of all tack changes or conflicts. DIRECTIONS From 81 North Take 81 N to 380 S toward Mt. Pocono/Milford. Take Moscow Exit, left onto route 690 E. Follow Rt. 690 into town. You will come to a T at Route 435, turn right onto Rt. 435 S. Make first left under the underpass continuing on Route 690 E. ** Go to Stop sign, go straight through, this becomes Aberdeen Road. We are about a mile and a half on left. For parking trailers, pass, go to four corner intersection and turn left. You will see signs. From 380 North Take Gouldsboro Exit onto Route 435 N. Follow Rt. 435 N into Moscow. Make right turn under underpass onto Route 690 E. ** Follow above directions. 7
