G O L F SUMMER CAMP WELCOME TO THE BEST SUMMER EXPERIENCE Welcome to Bishops Gate Golf Academy, where summer camp learning and fun are our number one priority! We are the fastest growing junior golf academy in the U.S. and our mission is to make your Summer Camp at BGGA the best experience of your summer. Built around you, Summer Camp at Bishops Gate Golf Academy provide junior golfers with a plan and strategy to get better. You will have the opportunity to experience the training and excitement of the year-round program in a week of camp and get to know what the life of an academy student is like. BGGA s Campers will receive individualized fitness, mental, and technical training techniques they can take home with them to continue improving their individual game. Following an assessment day, campers will work closely with BGGA s highly skilled and experienced coaching team to develop the tools they need to follow their training plan. Our purpose is to help you love the game, get better and learn some valuable lessons to make sure you play the game for a lifetime. There is so much you will do at summer camp and these memories will last for years to come.

FACILITY When you arrive at our campus at Bishops Gate Golf Academy, you know you are somewhere special. Located on beautiful Lake Harris in Florida s Lake County, just 45 minutes from Orlando International Airport, our property boasts a first-class training facility with a 16-acre range and 11 golf holes. This unique training environment allows you to train in golf course conditions every day. We have over 50,000 square feet of training tee space, 30,000 square feet of putting and short game greens, and 15,000 square feet of bunkers. There is no other training environment better equipped to prepare yourself and your game. The course has been carefully designed to challenge its players. It can be played from multiple tee locations to multiple greens, making it possible to train for almost every shot imaginable. There is a full-time crew working to keep the quality of our greens in pristine condition, and they run as fast and smooth as any you will find in any tournament. There are two short game areas where you can work on unlimited situations ranging from green side bunkers to 180-yard approach shots. Each of these areas allows the athlete to master the art of scoring.
ABOUT BGGA SUMMER CAMPS G O L F SUMMER CAMP Summer Camp is fun, with the awesome people you will meet from around the world and the nonstop fun activities. What makes BGGA summer camp even more special is that you will leave with a much better understanding of your game and a clear path to getting better. Whether you are new to the game or aspire to play college golf, the summer camp training experience at BGGA will give you tools and strategies that you will use for years to come. We start with the basics, and make sure that campers have the fundamentals of a solid, athletic golf swing and are set up to the ball correctly. Analyzing the sequence of the swing and how your body moves throughout the process is a key part of the technical plan. Once the camper is aware of what their swing faults are, they are given tasks and drills to work on to make those changes. BGGA Campers receive: Technical Full swing, short-game, chipping, putting Mental Training Course strategy, mental stamina, and confidence building On-course Training Access to our 11-hole course at BGGA Fitness Golf-specific fitness program tailored to each individual student s body, functionality, and golf game
COACHING STAFF The Bishops Gate Golf Academy coaching staff boasts an unrivalled combination of experience and success. Not only do we have an outstanding track record in junior golf development, but our coaches have also achieved success with players at all levels of the game. Most importantly, the coaches at BGGA are passionate about transmitting that same knowledge and experience to the students at our academy. BGGA s coaching staff is led by Director of Golf Kevin Smeltz. Kevin s passion is the development of junior golfers and his wealth of experience has built the team of highly skilled professionals that will work with you daily. The coaching team makes practice fun by creating exciting games and activities on the range that will improve your skills and mental toughness. The best part of summer camp is taking what you have learned to the golf course which will challenge juniors to think outside the box to be creative with their club and shot selection to get the most out of their game.
G O L F SUMMER CAMP CAMPUS LIFE Housing Bishops Gate Golf Academy campers are housed in upscale, spacious, fully furnished condos that emit a home away from home feel. Campers room with either one or two students with a maximum of six students per home. In addition, each home has a living room, dining room, fully-appointed kitchen and laundry room, and, in most cases, an enclosed patio for relaxation and games. All units have wireless Internet access and satellite television. The condos are convenient to all golf facilities, dining hall, and recreational activities that are just steps away from home. Supervision, Safety and Security Campers receive guidance and supervision on a 24/7 basis by resident house parents who take on the responsibility of overseeing our campers daily lives. BGGA is inside a private, gated community. Only residents, staff, and members of the club have access to the community. Dining Boarding students eat all their meals in Champions Hall, the Clubhouse at BGGA. Overlooking the lake, Champions Hall is the perfect setting for our students to relax, socialize, and play a few games. Bishops Gate Golf Academy utilizes an in-house catering service lead by Executive Chef Bill Redding. Chef Redding is an accomplished Executive Chef with over 20 years of experience in restaurants all over the country. Chef Redding is a Certified Food Safety Manager, and he also holds a certification in Sports Nutrition and Performance. Non-boarding students Non-boarding students have the ability to rent luxurious town-homes within or near the gated community of Bishops Gate Golf and Lakeside Community. Although living with a relative, non-boarding students will still be able to eat lunch with their friends at BGGA and train each day.
DAILY SCHEDULE Schedule Monday through Friday Campers arrive Sunday and depart Saturday. 8:00am - 8:30am: Breakfast at Bishops Gate Golf Academy (boarding students only) 8:30am 11:30am: Golf Training 11:30am 12:30pm: Lunch at Bishops Gate Golf Academy 12:30pm 3:30pm: Golf Training: Technical, Mental, On-Course (or ESL sessions) 4:15pm 5:00pm: Fitness Training and Evening Activities 6:00pm 7:00pm: Dinner at BGGA (boarding students only) 7:00pm 10:30pm: Activities 10:30pm - 11:00pm: Personal time 11:00pm: Lights Out Camp Activities The Bishops Gate Golf Academy campus is much more than just a place to sleep and train. It is a place to integrate sports, character development and a healthy social experience. On-Site Activities BGGA students have no shortage of activities right here on property. On-site amenities include a full, lit basketball court, lakeside swimming pool, and a game room complete with Ping-Pong, Pool Table, PlayStation 4, XBOX One, and satellite TV on a 60-inch HDTV. Off-Site Activities BGGA students have easy access to world-class shopping and theme parks. Being located approximately 30-minutes from Orlando gives our students the opportunity to enjoy weekend and evening trips to Disney World, Universal Studios, Mall at Millennia, and many more internationally renowned attractions.

We know what makes a memorable summer camp experience having great coaches and a fun, learning environment so that you can get better and have memories that last a lifetime. Campers get to take the fun home with them with a camp pack that consists of a backpack, t-shirt, water bottle, hat, towel and training book to make sure the fun and the learning don t have to end. Boarding: $1,999 Each additional week: $1,800 Non-Boarding: $1,650 Each additional week: $1,450 Options: Tournaments: $450/ea. Includes transportation, chaperone, registration and practice rounds.
