Why I Remember By Lukas Goldstein Why should I Remember, I once asked, I mean whatever happened is in the past, I did not care and on that night, The angel of my Grandfather took flight, Grandson you do not know me, but I know you, You see I am not here I am in a better place, You wouldn t be here or there if me and my squad didn t fight, On that one final night. My grandfather changed my thoughts, and taught my children, And their children too why I remember and why they should too, And now I am happy because, I m able to say I can still remember my grandfather today.

I Wear a Poppy Over My Heart By Athena Lemay I wear a poppy over my heart as I dream of my grandpa. I wear a poppy over my heart as I ponder about our free country. I wear a poppy over my heart as I stay quiet at 11 o clock. I wear a poppy over my heart as I lay his wreath down. I wear a poppy over my heart as I thank The soldiers for our free country.

Lest We Forget About the Forgotten By Christopher Ruest Lest we forget about the dead, Two minutes of time we bow our heads, To remember those who gave up their lives, That s what I ll do on Remembrance Day. Planes flying by, tanks rolling in, They suffer and cry, the past soldiers kin, Now crosses stand row on row, So Remember on Remembrance Day. The sacrifice was great for those young men, And now we re free because of them, Our brave young vets, oh can t you see, Who were lost in war for you and me. So on November 11 th, remember those forgotten, And that s what WE will do, on Remembrance Day.

For Us By Auburn Thienes For us They leave their homes, And their loved ones. For us They depart to foreign lands Where they have never been before. For us They fight for freedom, For people they ve never met. For us They risk their lives To make our lives peaceful. They do it for us They do it for you.

I Wear A Poppy For My Friend By Madison Goldstein I wear a poppy because of you, You, and what you did do, We re free and now we are true. I wear a poppy because of you, You, and what you did do, I think of you through and through. I wear a poppy because of you, You, and what you did do. Thank you.

We Wait By Allan Lemay We wait We re all waiting For them The soldiers To get home We wait We re all waiting For the war To be Over and done We wait We re all waiting For siblings And parents To get home We wait We re all waiting For world Peace and World sanity They wait They re all waiting To see Their loved Ones once again.

The Sadness By Ethan Crozier The fear of the war, The sadness of the dead, Row on row, the crosses grow. The wars won t end, The poppies grow, Row on row, the sadness grows. We will remember, Share this 2 minutes, Row on row, the silence grows.

Silent By Ava Nelson I see poppies lying in the field I hear gunshots in the air I feel my heart pounding I smell the gray smoke I taste blood from my wounds I am a soldier. I see him coming home half alive I hear him in my mind I feel my emotions inside I smell the smoke on his uniform I taste his love I am a wife. I see soldiers in my mind I hear the trumpets song I feel such sadness I smell the air in the Gym I taste tears I am just a kid.
