The varsity basketball team needs a big Blue Tide presence for tonight s district championship versus Robinson at Spoto High School. Tip-off is at 7:00. Good luck Tiger Basketball! On Wednesday night, the varsity soccer team mercy-ruled Eau Gallie 8-0 in the region final to win the region championship and advance to the state semi-final game. Zachary Board and Andrew Motzer each had a pair of first half goals; Lucas Gobea, Carter Campbell, Carson Bien, Alex Medina also scored. Thomas Knipe and Dylan McCarthy were in goal for the shutout. The team would like to thank the Blue Tide for its support. The team travels to American Heritage tomorrow night for the state semi-final. Congrats and good luck Tiger Soccer!

Attention all students tomorrow is the deadline to turn in sold Gaudiosa raffle tickets. If Tonight the fine arts department is sponsoring the annual Solo and Ensemble Concert, which will take place at 7:00 in the MPR. The concert will feature solo performances on baritone horn, tenor saxophone, snare drum, marimba, trumpet, guitar, as well as variety of ensembles trombone quartet, trumpet trio, and percussion. All students are invited, and there is no cost to attend.

If Volunteers are needed for The Prep of South Tampa to help coach its youth soccer team. Volunteers should be energetic and prepared to work outside. All students are invited, and there is no cost to attend. On Saturday, the Science Olympiad team competed against 27 teams from the area in its first-ever competition. The team of Viet Ho and Chris Gold won third place in Astronomy; TJ Perez, Jude Delikat, and Kyle Kowalski took third in Codebreaking; and Andrew Hanna and Jimmy Clifford finished second in the Chemistry Lab event. Congratulations to the Science Olympians! Last night at Spoto, the varsity basketball team defeated Jefferson 64-49 in the district semi-finals. Seniors Jeremiah Nichols and Christopher Yount provided a spark off the bench to help break open the game. Jack Cooper and Andrew Dansoh both had doubledoubles, and Bennett Anderson scored 12 key points and dished out 5 assists. Ryan Weir added 10 points, including a clutch three in the fourth quarter. The Tigers move on to face Robinson for the district championship on Friday night at Spoto at 7:00. Last night s win was also a milestone for Coach Goldman, as it was his 600 th career victory. The following soloists earned an Excellent rating for their performances: Edward Morrison, Sebastian Greenberg, Drew Hanis, Karol Piedad, Alex Good, Kevin Beck-Perez. The following ensembles also earned an Excellent rating: the trumpet trio of Michael Skarupa, Theo Baier and Nathan Hyde, the trombone quartet of Jack Wernet, Kevin Beck-Perez, Ethan Nunez, and Dominick Cartaya, and the baritone quartet of Jack Wernet, Ryan Finster, Nico Machado, and Edward Morrison. Superior ratings were merited by soloists Ryan Finster, David Jacobsen, Miggy Sumagang, John Barreto, Robert Morrison, and Michael Skarupa, as well as the ensemble, percussion sextet of David Jacobsen, Miggy Sumagang, Alex Good, Karol Piedad, Robert Morrison and Freddie Brinson. Robert Morrison, Miggy Sumagang and John Barreto qualified for the state competition. Congrats Tiger Musicians! On Saturday night, the varsity soccer team traveled to Seminole Osceola for the regional semifinal game and came home with a 2-0 victory. Carter Campbell opened the scoring with a goal off a pass from Trevor Stanley. With less than a minute remaining in the game, Jeffrey Masser chased down a pass from Carter Cabassa and scored to make it 2-0. With the win, the Tigers will be at home on Wednesday night at 7:00 in the regional final versus Eau Gallie. We need the Blue Tide there to help cheer the team to victory! Congrats Tiger Soccer!
