1 JANJJan NOV 2016 2015 Commodore s Report Garry Moore Acting Commodore s October Report Garry Moore Dock Extension: I want to thank the membership for their overwhelming support for the dock extension. It has been a long process. It will be a great addition to our Club that will provide benefits for years to come. I want to personally thank Colleen Zitkovich and Robert Murphy for all their work in putting together the financing package. I want to thank Paula Spina, Lance Loomis, Jerry and Colleen Zitkovich and Robert and Mich Murphy for the financial support for the dock extension. Colleen is working with Sound Credit Union to put the bank loan together and we are still waiting for the building permit from the City of Seattle. Commodore s Ball: It is only a week away from our Commodore s Ball on Saturday November 4 th at the Sand Point Country Club. It has always been the highlight of our Club s social calendar. You still have until November 1 st to make your reservations. The cost is $75 per person. Elections: I would like to congratulate the newly elected PSYC Board. The following members will take their respective positions in January: Commodore: Vice Commodore: Fleet Captain: Secretary: Trustees: Secretary Treasurer Bob Josephson Robert Murphy Mike Thompson Joyce Carlson Micheline Murphy Lindell Graham Laura Klein David Morton Janet Josephson (in 2 nd year of a 2 -year term) Colleen Zitkovich (in 2 nd year of a 2 -year term) Bill Traver has stepped up and volunteered to be our Rear Commodore. The Board still has to approve Bill s appointment, but Bill s addition to the Board give us a great group to lead our Club next year. Thank you, Bill.

2 Vice Commodore s Report Bob Josephson We had a very successful work party on September 24 th. Not all the work was completed and I want to acknowledge several people for additional work to finish things up: Barry Ellingson completed work on the men s restroom, reattaching the sink to the wall. Dave Cass placed non-skid strips on our new outside steps and did some additional work in the restroom. Jerry Zitkovich came the day before the work party and cut down the dead tree in the front yard and has been able to get all the lights in the front yard working, Kevin Carlson also came a day early and did some concrete patching work on the front walk and on the dock. Thanks to all of you that participated and especially to those that have taken on the extra work! I also want to thank Cindy who has taken on the task of getting all of the lights in the main room working and with LED bulbs of the same color. She is also working to find replacement glass elements for the light fixtures. The Awards Dinner will be on December 14 th to celebrate all the fun activities of the year and thank the people that did all the work to make them happen. This will be a catered event so come and enjoy it. Please note that the web page has the date as December 21 st. However since this is just the week before Christmas that was moved to a week earlier so we hope more people can attend. And last, but not least, Pat Hansen is taking on the huge task of updating the upstairs restroom! Rear Commodore s Report Vacant The Commodores Ball is November 5 th at the Sand Point Country Club. If you wish to attend, please contact Garry Moore. There will be a cocktail/social hour beginning at 5:00pm with dinner to follow. This is a fun event and will be a celebration of our club. The cruise planning meeting will be held on Thursday, November 10 th (date change from the 2 nd ). Please plan on attending and helping our new fleet captain, Maddog get our calendar going for next year. We will start at 6:00pm (upstairs) and pizza/nonalcoholic beverages will be provided.

3 Fleet Captain s Report Robert Murphy Hello PSYC and a very wet October! Looking forward towards the end of the year, we have two cruise events coming up. The first will be the Special s Peoples Cruise on Dec. 4 th. Chris Kullmann has asked for additional volunteers and boats. Please reach out to Chris or myself if you have not already volunteered. Second the Bell Harbor Cruise is Dec. 9 th 11 th. You need to call to make your own reservations at the Bell Harbor Marina. There will be Ugly Christmas sweaters, an ornament exchange, a Mad Lib story contest and a decorated boat contest. Dinner will be at Anthony s on Saturday night. If you are coming, whether by boat or not, please let our cruise captains Cindy Josephson or Lisa Haistings know. The annual Social and Cruise Planning meeting will be held on Nov. 10 th at 6:00 p.m. in the upstairs room. It will include pizza from Northlake Tavern as well as potluck salads and desserts. It will be BYOB. Please come and add your opinion to the planning for next year. Here is to a hopefully drier November..
