COMMENTS BY THE ALDERMEN: Alderman Slider commented that there will be a large item trash drop off in Vichy on October 6, 2018 for things like washers, dryers, tires, small appliances etc. Dr. Slider wanted to remind everyone of the Chimney Dedication Service to be held on Friday October 19, 2018 at l O :OOa.m. Alderman Daniels thanked public works for getting nuisance lots mowed and taken care of. She also thanked the Mayor and others Aldermen for allowing her to attend the 2018 MML conference she found it very informational. 8. COMMENTS BY THE ADMINISTRATION: 8.1 Deputy City Clerk- Edna Givins-No comments 8.2 Finance Officer Edna Givins- stated that the August financials have been e-mailed to each of the Alderman. She also commented that 34% of utility customers are currently enrolled in thee-bill system and the operating account is at 2 million dollars. In 2017 the city made $4,450.00 from residents that were billed for not keeping their yards mowed forcing the city to do the upkeep. So far for 2018 there are 12 residents that the city has had to mow totaling a $2,400.00 to be billed.

8.3 Chief Curenton- Absent 8.4 Fire Chief Mike Shempert -Absent from meeting 8.5 Public Works Director Steve Long commented that the Street Department has been working on cutting grass and grading roads that was postponed due to rainy weather. The poles on St. Robert Blvd. have been removed except for 2 that will be taken down once the phone and communication lines have been moved in the next 2-3 weeks. Three more street lights will be installed between Pizza Hut and Fairfield Inn, lighting in that area is poor and this should alleviate the problem. 8.6 IT Manager- Don Coplin -Absent 8.7 Transfer Station Manager Jay Whittaker- Absent 8.8 Interim City Attorney- Tyce Smith - Deposition with emergency services did not continue as they were not prepared for the questions asked. He is still in the middle of litigation with them and will report back deposition gets completed. 8.9 Interim City Administrator- Anita Ivey Commented she has been busy with airport meetings and road projects with MRPC. She also reminded everyone that the homecoming parade will be Friday September 28 1 h, 2018. The parade will begin at 2:30pm and then festivities will be at 4:30. Free popcorn will be given away prior to the game. 9. COMMENTS BY THE MAYOR: 9.1 The next City Council Meeting will be October 9, 2018 @ 5:00pm 10.
