2008 DIXIE CUP SPRING CLASSIC IMPORTANT NOTES 2008 USEF CHANGES Several changes to general and breed specific USEF rules go into effect April 1, 2008. REFER TO www.usef.org/rules. All exhibitors are responsible for abiding by and understanding the CURRENT RULES of the USEF. OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES Rule GR301.5.a. Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. See updated 2008 rule ATTENTION GETTING DEVICES: Effective 4/1/08: Attention getting devices &/or other noisemakers (including but not limited to tape measures, blow horns, altered bamboo poles, explosives, etc.) are not allowed in and around the make up/schooling/warm-up and competition rings during scheduled competition sessions. (Except for the National Show Horse division.) Use of explosives and fire extinguishers by or for exhibitors/competitors (except in the case of fire) is not allowed on competition grounds at any time. (See also GR840) FEES USEF FEE-$12.00 [Drug Fee $7/Horse Fee $5 ] including equitation horses. No fee for horses used only in Leadline or Academy. WALKER SHOW ARENA FOOTING The arena is 280 by 115. All rings have an all weather mixture of sand and gravel. There will be daily drags in both the lower dressage area and the Grand Prix warm up ring, our official warm up area USE CAUTION IF YOU CHOOSE TO WARM UP ON THE ROADWAYS! STABLING Stalls will not be reserved until stall fees of $ 80 per stall are paid. Our stabling list will go to the park and bedding supplier on Monday, April 28. OUR STALL CHART WILL BE PUT TOGETHER STARTING ON APRIL 21. Stall location will be based on Dixie Cup seniority, date of receipt of paid entries, AND sponsorships. There is no guarantee as to specific aisles or stalls in any barn. The park has permanent barns with permanent doors. We cannot accept telephone requests to stable together. If you wish to stable together, this request must be in writing on all accounts. DRESSAGE STALLS A limited number of one day stalls at $ 60 per stall will be available Thursday, May 8 (after 4 PM) for Dressage entries Stalls will be in a separate location. Stalls will remain locked until 4 PM. These stalls must be prepaid. AVAILABILITY OF STALLS Stalls will be available after 1 PM, Monday, May 5, 2008. There is a horse show at this facility on Sunday, May 4. EARLY ARRIVAL REQUESTS, contact Barbara Goda - 770 475-1244. The charge is $ 20 per stall. HOTEL RESERVATIONS: CONNECTIONS at 1-800 -262-9974. See back cover for room rates. PONY MEASUREMENTS Measurements will be made by reservation at 9 AM on Thursday morning, May 8, 2008. These measurements are for animals competing at this horse show. Measurement request forms must be complete and must be signed by an authorized agent 16 years of age or over. Ponies five and under must be measured annually. We will try to set up a special measurement time on Wednesday afternoon, May 7 if requests are made in advance. GROUNDS FEES The grounds fee for showing without a stall is $15 per horse per day. CAMPER SITES Camper fees are $25 per day. CAMPER SITES are available on the grounds. They include water and electricity with access to showers and rest rooms. Camper registration must be made on your entry blank. Upon arrival, you will receive a camper pass to be displayed showing reservation dates. Page 1

POST ENTRIES, A post entry fee of $10 per horse will be charged on entries received after the closing date of April 14, 2008. No Post Entry fees for Stakes or Championships. STAKE CLASSES To enter any stake class, an entry must have been entered, shown, and judged in the appropriate qualifying class. BEDDING All bedding at the park is handled through Queenwood Products at 770 860-9111. This includes your order for initial bedding. Advance orders for bedding will be delivered to your stalls based on the arrival time specified on your Entry Blank. Advance orders can be faxed to 770 860-9177. BEDDING MAY NOT BE HAULED IN BY AN OUTSIDE VENDOR. HOLDS Holds must be requested in writing at the show office 2 hours in advance of each session. Holds will be limited to 2 minutes. Emergency holds must be given to the Paddock Master with the request signed by an authorized representative of the entry. BACK NUMBERS/BRIDLE NUMBERS Numbers will not be distributed until all fees, appropriate Registration Papers and measurement and association cards are processed in the show office for the entire account. PRACTICE IN THE SHOW ARENA The Show Arena will be closed two hours before each session. Clearance lights will be left on after the evening session. No lunging or long lining in the show arena. Lunge rings are available. SHARPS CONTAINERS Sharps containers have been placed at the end of the barn aisles in a ratio of one container per 25 stalls. You MUST dispose of all needles in these containers. PARKING Fire Regulations prohibit all vehicles, including trailers, vans and campers from parking in the stable area. Vans and trailers will be allowed in the stable area to unload or load. NO loading or unloading is allowed during show sessions. IMPROPERLY PARKED VEHICLES WILL BE TOWED. WARNING: Under Georgia law, an equine activity sponsor or equine professional is not liable for any injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to Chapter 12 of Title 4 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated. (effective 7/1/91). RULES AND REGULATIONS EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK, AND WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. 1. Horse Show Office will close TWO HOURS prior to the scheduled start of each session. Entries made after that time for the session will be charged an additional EMERGENCY ENTRY FEE OF $10 PER CLASS ENTERED. The show will be using 2 PART ADD and SCRATCH forms to assist trainers and agents. 2. OPEN CHECKS or full payment when each entry is made will be required. No charge accounts allowed. 3. FOOTING in the show ring is a dirt and gravel base with sand on top. 4. PRIZE MONEY WILL BE PAID BY CHECK TO THE OWNER OF RECORD WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE CLOSE OF THE SHOW AND BECOMES NONNEGOTIABLE AFTER 120 days. No attempt will be made by Show Management to obtain addresses which are not complete, illegible, or are incorrect on the entry blank. This includes missing social security numbers and zip codes. 5. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH EXHIBITOR OR AGENT to settle his or her account by the end of the Show. If the account is not closed by the end of the Show, the Horse Show Secretary will fill in the correct amount on the open check and the exhibitor or agent relinquishes the right for adjustment. 6. ALL RETURNED CHECKS will be charged a $100 RETURN CHECK FEE. 7. ADDED CLASSES will be considered at double the regular Sponsorship fee if time is available and three or more entries agree to show. Added classes will be scheduled at the end of a session. 8. COGGINS PAPERS - ALL HORSES MUST HAVE WITH THEM A CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS CERTIFICATE (12 MONTHS). This includes horses who are not entered. Coggins papers must be available for inspection by horse show or State Licensed Representatives at any time. HEALTH CERTIFICATES ARE REQUIRED OF OUT OF STATE HORSES 9. REFUNDS requested before the closing date of entries will be made in full less a $20 OFFICE FEE per entry. Refunds requested before the start of the show but after the closing date for entries must be accompanied by a veterinarian certificate of illness or lameness on an official letterhead received by the Show Office before the start of the Show. No requests for any refunds received after May 5, 2008 will be honored. No request for stall and office fee refunds will be honored after April 14, 2008. 10. RESPONSIBILITY: The Dixie Cup Spring Classic Horse Show and/or Show Management will in no way be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it will be a condition of the entry that each Exhibitor shall hold this Horse Show, the City of Conyers and the Georgia International Horse Park blameless for any loss or accident to his or her horse, horses or equipment that may occur from sickness, fire or otherwise. Nor shall they be responsible for any article of any kind or nature that may be lost, destroyed, or stolen; and will not be responsible for or liable for injury sustained in any way to exhibitors, spectators, employees or any other interested parties. All owners and exhibitors will be held responsible for any damages, incurred by them or their agents to barns or other properties on the Show Ground and willed be BILLED ACCORDINGLY. 11. DOGS will not be allowed on the Show Grounds unless restrained by a leash and under the control of the owner or responsible person at all times. 12. AMATEUR EXHIBITORS: Every person who has reached his 18th birthday before December 1, 2007 and competes in classes for amateurs under USEF rules, must possess current amateur certification issued by the Federation. This certification must be renewed annually, 13. IMPORTANT: All entry blanks must be signed in ALL spaces provided. All entry blanks must contain the complete and correct address of both owner and trainer. NUMBERS WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNLESS ALL SIGNATURES APPEAR ON EACH ENTRY BLANK FOR THE ENTIRE ACCOUNT. 14. USEF membership and Amateur cards may be photocopied and submitted with the signed entry blank or may be submitted to the Horse Show Secretary prior to having numbers issued. In either case, no one will be issued NUMBERS unless the above requirements are met. Page 4

FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) and the local rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cablecasts, or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR1502.5. US EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION MEMBERSHIP RULE Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides provided the respective breed/discipline dues or breed/discipline category fee has been paid. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $20 non-member registration fee and a $5 breed/discipline category fee for each breed/discipline. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the requirements of this rule; 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4)classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. Also exempted from this requirement are citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 8) USEA beginner novice division; and 9) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. THE DIXIE CUP SPRING CLASSIC HORSE SHOW RESERVES THE RIGHT TO: 1. Vary or add to the names of those Officials who have been invited to participate. 2. Cancel or combine any class with less than four entries. 3. Decline or return any or all entries, return any money paid for stalls or entry fees before or during the show. See USEF GR1509 4. Limit the number of horses accepted in each division. 5. Change or vary the officials listed without notice prior to or during the show. 6. Require that only qualified persons shall be allowed in the ring during judging. Exhibitors are HEREBY notified that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judge, horse show staff, volunteers, or officials on the part of the owner, rider, trainer, agent or groom will disqualify horse and/or rider and the owner shall forfeit his entries and all other fees.
